Chapter 82

Rohit had been going through the worst time ever.

All day shoots, Sonakshi being at her mothers', him being unable to live without her.

At work, he had been trying to be professional and staying away from Sonal as much as possible. At home, he spent the nights awake, tossing and turning.

Sona! Tum kyun nahin samajhti? Mein takleef main hun..tumhari tarha..lekin mein kis se baat karun? Tum wapas ajao Sona..mujhe tumhari sab se zyada zaroorat hai..

When Sonakshi had come to his set the other day, he had thought maybe she was ready to talk and come back to him.

But for the past two days, he had had no contact with her. She hadn't called or texted. He also hadn't done so, because he didn't want to let her think that he was the only one desperate here.

It was when his mother had mentioned that Sonakshi had gone back to work, that his concern for her had again raised its' head.

On an impulse, he had come here to the hospital to see her.

'I killed our baby, Rohit!'

Sonakshi collapsed on the floor, crying.

He ran towards her and went down on his knees.

'Sona!'

Sonakshi felt his arms around her shoulders. She looked up, her tears running down her cheeks.

'Rohit! I'm so sorry, so sorry!'

'Tum yeh sab kyun bol rahi ho..aise nahin kehte. Ro lo..jitna chahe ro lo. Mann halka hojayega.'

He lifter her by the shoulders and made her get up, off the floor.

'Tum samajh nahin rahe ho Rohit..'

'Mein sab samjhunga..tum yahan aao..betho idhar..'

He led her to the sofa and made her sit. He made to move, but she caught his hand.

'Tum kahan..'

'Chair lene..'

Sonakshi pulled him towards her.

'Nahin..yahan betho na..'

Rohit sat next to her.

Her tears wouldn't stop.

'Rohit mein..'

'Batao mujhe. Tum iss tarha kyun bol rahi ho? Jo hua uss mein kisi ki ghalti bhi nahin hai Sona, bas hamare saath aisa hona tha..'

'Nahin, Rohit! Mujhe pata hona chahiye tha. Mein apne andar is bojh ko le kar nahin reh sakti..'

'Bojh? Kaisa bojh?'

'Maine tum se kuch chupaya hai..'

Rohit looked at her, puzzled.

'Chupaya hai matlab?'

Sonakshi was quiet.

'Bolo na Sona! Kya baat hai?'

'Rohit..woh..maine apni pills skip kar di thi..jaan boojh ke nahin..'

She looked up to see his expression changing.

'What?'

'Woh mein pills lena bhool gayi thi do din..to jaise ke karna chahiye, do pills ek saath li thi maine..'

Rohit was just looking at her.

'Magar, us se protection fail hojaye, yeh bohot hi kam hota hai..'
