Rohit felt as if his heart would stop beating.

'SONA!!!'

Rohit ran towards her and lifted her unconscious form.

'Sona! Kya hua hai? Sona! Wake up! This is not even funny! Utho!!'

He patted her cheek with force, but she didn't open her eyes.

His gaze went to the blood.

'Oh God, no, no! Sona! Sonakshi!! Tumhe kuch nahin ho sakta..God damn it! Wake up!'

He lifted her up in his arms and moved out of the bathroom.

He ran with her down the stairs, screaming, while she lay limp in his arms.

'Mom! Papa!'

Veena and Naren came running out of their room, as did Rohan.

'Rohit..kya...Sona!!'

Veena put a hand to her throat as she gasped.

'Kya hua Sona ko?'

'Bathroom mein behosh parri thi..Papa! Pulkit ko phone karo..bolo mein hospital la raha hun isse..'

'But Rohit, ambulance bula..'

Rohan was dialling the hospital.

'There's no time Rohan! Mein hi lejaunga..'

Rohit was running towards the door with Sonakshi in his arms.

Naren stepped forward.

'Rohit! Aise mein tum gaari nahin chala paoge. Mein chalta hun..'

Rohit nodded.

'Mein bhi chalti hun..'

Veena came forward.

'Nahin Veena, tum yahin raho..jo bhi hoga bata dunga..'

Rohit had reached the car, his hands trembling on seeing her unconscious form.

'Sona! Sona! For God's sake uth jao..mein mar jaunga..please mat karo mere saath aisa..'

'Rohit! Yeh sab kya hai! Be strong! Chalo jaldi karo..'

Naren got in the driver's seat while Rohit settled Sonakshi on the seat with him at the back.

The normal twenty minutes drive to the hospital seemed like an eternity today.

Rohit kept rubbing her hands, which were getting colder.

'Sona! No! You can't do this!! Kuch nahin hoga tumhe..dekho tumhara Rohit hai na tumhare paas..Sona! Please!'

He was crying openly.

'Papa tez chalayen na!'

'I'm trying Rohit!'

For Rohit it was like all his nightmares had rolled in to one.

He kept chanting her name over and over again.

They finally reached the hospital.

Rohit jumped out of the car even before it stopped. He quickly lifted Sonakshi out of the car and ran inside.

Several staff came running and a stretcher was already waiting as was Pulkit.

'Hurry up! Jaldi le ke chalo!' Rohit was shouting.

'Jiju! Kya hua hai Di ko?'

Rohit grabbed him and crushed him to his chest.

'Mein nahin kho sakta Sona ko. Please us se bolo woh uth jaaye.'
