'What?!?!'

'Aray! Perfect idea hai, Sona!'

Arihaan nodded his head over and over, as if he understood everything.

'Dekha! Hamare bete ko bhi idea pasand aaya..hai na, monkey?'

He nodded again, and clapped his hands.

'Bas! Hogaya tay!'

Sonakshi stood with her hands on her hips, looking out maneuvered by both father and son.

'Okay, okay, fine! But no hankie pankie!'

'Yay!!! Chalo, chalo, Arihaan, before Mama apna iraada badal len..'
Rohit fisted his hand and shouted.

Sonakshi went in the shower stall and set up Arihaan's bath chair on a plastic stool she kept there.
She undressed Arihaan and settling him on the bath seat, turned, and stopped.
Rohit had taken off his kurta and stood bare chested, in just his jeans. There were traces of colour all over his toned chest and stomach.

'What are you doing?'
She asked him.

'What?'

'Shirt kyun utaar di?'
She said, stupidly.

'Matlab? Sab geela hojayega na..aisa karo, tum bhi utaar do..'
He lifted a hand to her kurta.

'Aray! Mein kaise?'

'Kyun? Pehle nahin dekha hai kya?'
He raised his eyebrows.

'But, Arihaan ke saath..'

'You just said ke uss ke saath nahayi ho pehle bhi..'

'But he was little then..'

'Or ab to jaise teenager hogaya hai!'

Sonakshi smiled at that.

'Your wish! Come on, buddy! Let's get rolling!'
Rohit opened the taps in the bucket, mixing the water to adjust the right temperature for him.

'Check karo, theek hai?'

'Great!'
Sonakshi dipped her hand, and approved.

'Arihaan! Mera beta nayi nayi karega, yes? Yes!'

Arihaan was busy flailing his hands and feet in the air.

'Nayi..nayi..'

Sonakshi put a mug full of water on him, and he clapped his hands. He jerked, as the water splashed on his face in a gush, but laughed.
Rohit put shampoo on his hands, and lathered it in Arihaan's hair.
Sonakshi washed it off, the splash of water wetting Rohit in the process.

'You did that on purpose!'

'Who? Me?'
Sonakshi made an innocent face.

'Or hai yahan koi?'

'Hai na! Apne bete ko nahin pehchaante?'

'Don't act smart!'

She threw a mugful on him directly.
'Ab maine kiya jaan boojh ke!'

Sonakshi chuckled, as she applied Arihaan's baby wash over him, to get rid of the Holi colours.
As she would have bent to get water from the bucket, Rohit got to it first, and threw it deliberately in such a way, that Sonakshi got drenched.

'What the?'
She stood there water streaming down her face and clothes.

'Thanday thanday paani se nahaana chahiye, gaana aaye ya na aaye, gaana chahiye..' he sing songed, tickling Arihaan, who seemed to be having an amazing time.
'What? Ab nahaate mein paani to gir sakta hai na..I told you..'
He looked up at her, making an innocent face.
