They were both stunned, Rohit realising what he had said, and Sonakshi, just dumbfounded.

Rohit quickly got off the bed and came towards her.

'Sona, I..'

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Someone knocked on the door.

They both looked towards it, as if surprised.

'Bhabi? Mom bula rahi hai!'
Rohan's voice came through the door.

Sonakshi cleared her throat.

'Han, Rohan! Aayi!'

Rohit caught her hand.

'Sona, I'm..'

Sonakshi looked at him.

'Abhi nahin, Rohit! Hum baad mein baat karenge..'

'Lekin mein..'

She walked to the door, and left, shutting the door, softly.

Kya Rohit! Yeh kon si baat thi karne ki! Well done!

Rohit cursed himself, as he went to get ready.

'Bas! Bas! Kitna lagaoge!'
Ajit was protesting.

Pooja kept on slathering him with the haldi.
Sonakshi had already put enough on him.
Rohan and Rohit also pitched in.

'Rohit, Sona! Rohan, Tanya!'
Veena called them, to where the lawn was set up for photography, as per the wedding planners.

'Jaldi aao, photos nikal walo..phir Pari ke paas haldi le jaani hai..'

Veena and Naren had gotten theirs done, as well as Akash and Deepa.
Rohan and Tanya got theirs done first, while Rohit Sonakshi stood by.

'Please, aisi shakal to mat banao. Ajit ki shadi hai aaj. Mood kharab kar ke ya aisa waisa soch ke in moments ko kharab mat karo.'

Sonakshi spoke to Rohit, and he looked at her, and nodded. He squeezed her hand.

'You are right, as always! I'll try.'

It was their turn, and Rohit, being the great human and actor that he was, began cracking jokes, as the photographer asked them to make poses.

'Yeh aise kya, yun latak ke? Lagay ka Sona gir rahi hai..'

'Sir, aap khare to hon, photo bohot achi ayegi. Aap ko to aadat hogi na..'

'Han, hai to..magar apni biwi ke saath nahin kiya tha na..chalo..yeh bhi try karte hain..aao Sona! Latak jao..' he held her, and Sonakshi giggled.

They had to pose for a good 10 minutes, before their pictures were done.
