'What the...??'

Rohit was furious.

'Rohit..yeh sab..' Veena looked from the paper to him.

He made to move outside.

'Aise nahin Rohit..' Naren called out.

'Papa! How dare they..mere baare mein hazaar baar khabar chaap den but why involve Sonakshi..woh..'

Akash came to put a hand on his shoulder.

'Bacha..it's not as if it's true. Sonakshi to biwi hai teri. To kya farq parta hai?'

'Parrta hai chachu..secret affair..what nonsense?'

'Rohit! Ghusse se baat bigarr sakti hai..'

Everybody tried consoling Rohit, but he was beyond listening.

The voices were raised as they tried to get in through the gate. He made to go out of the main door again.

Sonakshi, who had been watching all this, came forward. She caught his arm to stop him.

He looked back to see and was surprised to see her.

'Rohit..'

'Sonakshi..'

She reached up and took his face in her hands. He gasped.

It was the first time she had touched him of her own volition and he couldn't utter a word.

'Rohit! Calm down please..itna ghussa kyun ho?'

Her fingers ran over his beard. He closed his eyes and shifted his face slightly to feel her touch better.

'Mujhe apni parwah nahin hai..lekin tumhe involve kyun kiya?'

He opened his eyes to look into hers.

'Kya farq parrta hai..I'm not even part of the TV industry..itna react mat karo..'

She tried reasoning with him.

'You know na what clandestine means? Woh..'

'Ofcourse I know..lekin..'

'Illicit..dirty..as if tum koi..koi..' he protested.

'But you know, our families know..isn't that all that matters..kisi ka mun band nahin karaya jaa sakta..'

Something flared in her eyes.

'I know that from experience..' she said, a faraway look in her eyes.

'Sonakshi..' he looked puzzled.

She quickly came back to the matter on hand.

'Please stay calm..and handle this like you have handled it so far..our marriage, the cont..'

She stopped suddenly remembering where they were. She looked up to see all eyes on her.

She had been about to blurt out contract..what was wrong with her.

Rohit quickly tried to cover up, knowing exactly what she had been about to say.

'Fine! I won't be angry..lekin statement to de sakta hun na?'

Everybody sighed in relief.

'Okay..but stay calm..'

With that, the doors were opened and Rohit went outside.

The noise level escalated as the reporters saw Rohit come out of the house.

'Rohit sir, who is the woman in your life?'
