She read the text again.

'Sorry? Sorry for what?'

Sonakshi dialled his number, but it went unanswered.
She texted him.

'Kahan ho tum? Pick up the phone!'

There was no reply. She called again, but now it didn't even connect.

What the..yeh kya hogaya hai isse? Ye sab kar ke..tum kaise ja sakte ho..

She suddenly slapped her forehead.

Oh, God! I know what this is about..ofcourse..why didn't I realise..

Without taking another minute to think about it, she whirled around and ran down the stairs.
Opening the main door, she looked outside. Rohit's car was in the driveway.
She was surprised.

What if he's inside the house only?
She ran back inside, looking downstairs. The kitchen, the study. She even ran back upstairs to check the gym. All empty.

Cursing herself for wasting precious time, she ran to her car and drove off.
She drove slowly, looking around.

If he's gone on foot, he can't be too far away..

She checked the nearby park, the nearby cafe, the whole neighbourhood. He was no where.
She tried his phone, but now it was switched off.

She turned the car towards the city.

Sonakshi had just been to Film city and back. She was not in the best of moods. She had been looking for her husband for the past hour and a half, and it seemed as if he had disappeared to nowhere.
Not wanting to worry anyone at home, she had continued her search for him, alone.
She was driving by the beach, when an instinct made her turn suddenly towards the parking.

She got off the car, looking around. It was dark out, as the lights had been dimmed. The beach was mostly deserted, a few couples, scattered here and there, and Sonakshi felt a frission of fear. But she deepened her resolve and walked in her lehenga, picking it up, so she could walk faster.

Iss waqt Rohit nahin, koi or mil gaya to I'd really be in trouble..

Still looking around, she walked down to the beach. Down at this level, there was no one around. She kept looking behind her to see if anyone was following.
