Sonakshi rushed out of the kitchen, her heart racing, and stopped.

Arihaan was sitting on the floor, clapping his hands and giving a toothy grin.

'Kya hua, Rohit?'
Veena had also come behind her.

'Sona!! I won! I won!'
Rohit was almost jumping with joy.

'What award? Ke aise chilla rahe ho?'
Sonakshi put a hand to her heart, which still hadn't slowed down.

'I told you, mera time ayega! To agaya!'

Sonakshi and Veena looked at each other, giving Rohit weird looks.

'Rohit! Have you lost it? Kya bol rahe ho..'

Arihaan lifted himself up and stood, without support.

'Watch, watch!'
Rohit lowered his voice, so as not to frighten Arihaan.
'Arihaan, come! Come to Baba!'

As Sonakshi and Veena looked on, Arihaan took one halting step and then another!

'Oh my God!'
Sonakshi cried out.

'Ajao, ajao..'

Rohit held out his arms, and Arihaan faltered and fell.

'I won Sona! I witnessed something first hand! Before you did!'

Rohit picked up Arihaan, and spun him around.

'Oh, God! Rohit! Kaise chotay bachon ki tarha khush horahe ho..'

'Kyun na hun? My son walked for the first time! And for your information, mein abhi bhi bacha hi hun..kyun, Mom!'

'Han, sahi keh rahe ho, bas thoray lambay zyada hogaye ho!'
Veena said, and Sonakshi giggled.

'Han, han, mere bete ke saamne mera mazaq urrayen..'
Rohit pouted.

'Mein to tumhare bete ki shadi ke time bhi tumse aise hi baat karungi..'

'Oh baap re! Mom! Abhi bohot time hai uss mein..abhi to mein jawaan hun..kyun, Sona!'

Veena and Sonakshi both laughed at him.

'Aao Arihaan, hum dono akele celebrate karte hain..hamari koi value hi nahin hai yahan..'
Rohit started to move towards the stairs.

'Aray! Ruko to..'

But Rohit didn't look back, although Arihaan kept looking back at Sonakshi.

'Dekho na, khafa hogaya. Chai bhi nahin pee..'

Sonakshi hurried up the stairs with the tea, and Arihaan's snack.
She reached the room, and stopped at the doorway. A smile lit up her face.
Arihaan was on Rohit's shoulders, and Rohit was making 'vroom vroom' sounds, 'driving' him across the room.

'Acha! To Mama ke bagher ride chal rahi hai yahan.'

'We don't stay where we are not needed! Hai na, Arihaan?'

'Rohit..kya bachon ki tarha behave kar rahe ho?'
Sonakshi put down the tea, and moved to take Arihaan from Rohit's shoulders.

Holding Arihaan's legs with one hand, he caught her hand with the other.

'I'm very much 'jawaan', okay? And you, dear wife, can ride me..any time!'

Rohit pulled her closer, to kiss her. Sonakshi was caught unawares, and their lips met.
But no sooner had that happened, Arihaan pulled Rohit's hair, from behind.
