'Rohit, mujhse dosti karo ge?'

He looked flummoxed.

'Matlab, can we be friends?'

'Friends?'

NO! His mind screamed. I want more..

'You know, we have to stay together for the next ten months..'

'Nine!' he spoke.

'What?' she looked at him, puzzled.

'Nine months left..' he corrected.

'Ok..but what I'm trying to say here is..ke iss tarha se avoid kar ke is very difficult. Matlab if we are friends, to time jaldi guzar jayega..you know more bearable..'

Jaldi hi to guzre ja raha hai..only 9 months left..

'Rohit! Are you even listening to me?'

She waved a hand in front of his eyes. He had a weird look on his face.

He blinked and tried paying attention.

'Yeah! Yeah! I get you! You are right, ofcourse..more bearable..' there was sarcasm in his tone, but Sonakshi didn't notice.

'Great! I knew you would understand..which is what I like about you..'

'You like me?'

Sonakshi looked at him. Isse kya hua hai? she thought.

'Tum samajhdar ho, achay actor ho..'

'Bas..?'

'Matlab?' she gave him a weird look.

He quickly composed himself before he revealed all.

'Ibteda to hui dosti se
Rota hai kya
Aagay aagay dekhiye
Hota hai kya..' he lowered his voice.

'Kya??'

'To bas..aaj se friends!' he smiled at her and brought his hand for her to shake.

She took his hand and smiled. A smile of relief.

A touch which turned him on.

He groaned.

'Great! Ghar chalen?'

Oh boy! Akru to akru, ab friendly Sonakshi se kaise bachunga..

He smiled back.

The next few weeks, made life easier.

There was no avoiding each other and no staying late at work.

They spent time with the family whenever they got free. Usually had dinner together at home.

There was again the teasing and banter, especially in front of the others.

Sonakshi had become well-liked in his home, everyone teasing Rohit about what a smart wife he had.

Sonakshi smiled more these days, which made Rohit very happy. Maybe she was ready to come out of her self-imposed shell.

One evening, Rohit arrived at Sonakshi's hospital.

He had had a bad day at work.

Dubbing issues, a co-actor creating trouble on the sets and a part of the set falling. Thank God nobody had been hurt, but moods were off, and shooting had to be stopped.

The only way he knew to brighten his mood was to see Sonakshi.

Tulsi had found out that Sonakshi had gotten married, but she was loyal and hadn't gossiped about it.
