Chapter 185

'So, I've finally got you all to myself!'

'Hmm..and right now, so does the driver.'
Sonakshi gestured to their cab driver.

Rohit pulled her closer, putting his arm around her shoulder.

'Uss ki kher hai! He will enjoy the trip, too!'
Rohit winked at her, teasing her.

'Rohit!'
She gave him an embarrassed look.

'I love it, that you can still do that after all this time!'

'You know public mein mein aise..' she said so only he could hear.

'Or private mein meri wild Sona! What a combination!'
He teased and now Sonakshi blushed a deep red.

'Waise mujhe laga tha ke hum time se nikal hi nahin paayenge! Pehle raat mein itna late hogaya, or phir Arihaan ne subah rona shuru kar diya..'

The night's celebration had lasted till late, with the cutting of the cake, followed by dinner, that Akaash chachu had prepared.
After dinner, everyone had started singing songs, playing antakshari, and generally being merry.
Soham and Arihaan had really enjoyed themselves, being taken by one uncle, then the next, then the grandparents.
It was only when they had started to fuss a lot, and Tanya and Sonakshi had to go to put them to sleep, did they decide to call it a night.

Sonakshi hadn't completed her packing, and so she had to do that as well, after putting Arihaan to sleep. Sonakshi had been wiped out, and had slept in Rohit's arms, only to be waken up, what she thought was too soon, by her alarm at 6 am.

She had groaned, and buried herself in Rohit's arms, but Rohit had been too excited, and woken her up.
They had made it dressed, downstairs at the right time, to hand over Arihaan to Veena.
But Arihaan, for once, had begun to cry, loudly. He wasn't letting Sonakshi go, and Rohit had seen the look of guilt coming on her face.

But he had steered her away, busying her on the pretext of not being able to find his phone.
It had been a while before Veena had convinced her to go, and that she would handle Arihaan.
And a little more for Rohit to get her back in a better mood.

'Hmm..I hope he settles down!'

'Sona! Itna guilty to mat feel karo..phir to tum tension mein rahogi, or hum enjoy bhi nahin kar payenge..'

Sonakshi leaned her head on his shoulder.

'No! I'm okay! Woh bas itna ronay laga na..to bas..thora heavy hearted hogayi thi. I'm fine! Or tum to ho na mere saath..'

'Ofcourse! I'll make you forget all your worries..I promise.'
His lips brushed the shell of her ear, making her shiver.

'I love you..'

'Me too!'

'Oh, wow! Where did you find out about this place? It's gorgeous!'

Rohit looked about in awe, as they were led from the reception to their destination.

The Machan, a tree house resort, was located amidst lush green forests. Each accommodation present seemed to be floating in the  air, surrounded by enchanting views and elegant interiors. Each tree house was for individual use, and there were several types of them available, the starlight, the canopy, sunset, heritage, ground, forest and jungle.

Theirs was the starlight machan, as it was called. It was a complete double-storey house, situated high up in the trees, with lush greenery surrounding it, offering the highest of privacy.
Rohit and Sonakshi wowed over the ways leading to their tree house, and stopped on seeing their accommodation.
