Rohit staggered, almost falling.
Ajit quickly caught hold of him.

'Bhai!'

'No! No! No! This has to be wrong! It's wrong..ghalat hai..yeh ghalat hai..'

Rohit moved backwards, his steps faltering. The line behind him suddenly shifted, and Rohit fell, with more people falling with the impact.
There was chaos, as people fell on top of each other in the crowd.

'Bhai! Please, sorry..zara rasta den..'
Ajit dragged a few people, making space for him to lift Rohit off the floor.

'No! No!'
Rohit continued chanting like a mantra.
'Aisa nahin ho sakta..no..'

'Bhai! Uthen..chalen..'

Rohit stood up and looked at Ajit, but his eyes were devoid of any emotion. Ajit, on the other hand, was crying.

'Bhai! Please!'

'Meri Sona ko kuch ho hi nahin sakta..I would know..mein bohot zyada pyaar karta hun uss se..or woh mujhse..she can't leave me!'

Ajit dragged him away from the crowd, and made him sit on a chair.
Rohit looked extremely lost, as if he couldn't comprehend what was going on.
Ajit was getting tensed with his behaviour, his heart already breaking at the thought of losing his Bhabi.
Ajit's phone rang and Rohit started.

'Kon hai? Sona hai na? Lao meri baat karao..daantun to zara usse..do..'

'Bhai! Papa ka hai! Papa ka!'

'Hunh?'

Ajit picked up the call, while Rohit continued to talk aloud.

'Ajit! Kya hua? Kuch pata chala?'

The sound of a baby's cry could be heard in the background.
Ajit told him the status, and also how Rohit was not listening at all.

'Oh, God!'

'Papa! Yeh Arihaan ro raha hai?'

'Han! Chup hi nahin horaha! Rohit ko le ke ajao wapas..'

'I'll try, Papa!'
He turned to where Rohit was still saying the same thing over and over again.

'Sona nahin ja sakti mujhe chorr ke. Woh jaanti hai mein jee nahin paunga..woh jaanti hai..she wouldn't leave me like this.'

'Bhai! Bhai!'
Ajit shook his brother, but Rohit didn't react.
'Bhai! Please! Ghar pe Arihaan ne ro ro ke bura haal kar diya hai.'

Something flickered in his eyes, as if he suddenly remembered his son.

'Oh, God! Hamara beta! Mera or Sona ka! Woh kab se wait kar raha hai na apni Mama ka! Lekin Sona ko liye bagher kaise chala jaun uss ke paas? Uss ki nazren to apni maa ko hi dhoondengi..kya jawab dunga usse mein? Mein apne bete ka saamna kaise karunga, Ajit? Sona ke bina! Bas, woh aati hogi..phir usse le ke chalange..saath mein!'

'Bhai! Hosh mein aao..kya bolay ja rahe ho? Aap ne suna na plane crash hua hai? Aap ne dekha na list mein un ka naam hai? Sona Bhabi nahin aayengi..'
Ajit was crying still.

Rohit slapped Ajit.

'Bakwaas band karo apni! Kya bol rahe ho? Soch ke bolo! Mazaq mein bhi aisi baat ki na, to yahin gaarr dunga tujhe! So, shut up!'

Ajit took his slap in stride, knowing he didn't really mean it. It was just the shock.

Ajit forcefully dragged him out of the airport building, even though Rohit resisted.

'Mein tujhe bol raha hun, mein yahan se nahin jaunga! Sona ko liye bagher to hargiz nahin..so just let me go!'

But Ajit didn't listen and kept pulling him, till they reached his car and he put him in the passenger seat, and shut the door.
