Chapter 179

The lights lowered, revealing the person who had gotten off the car.

Rohit thought his heart would stop, and he would die, right then, and there.

'Oh my God!'

He ran, as did the other person..towards each other and crashed together like how waves crash on the shore.

He took her in a bone crushing hug, unable to believe his heart, or his eyes.

'Sona! Sona! Sona!!'
He chanted over and over, kissing her cheeks, her hair, her forehead.
'Thank God! Tum ho!'

Tears were streaming down their cheeks, as they clung together, not prepared to let go.

'Rohit! Oh, God! Rohit!!'
Sonakshi tightened her hold around his waist.

They stood there, unaware of their surroundings, until the cab driver honked his horn.

'Madamji! Mujhe to farigh kar den!'
'Kya zamana hai, ghar ke bahar hi shuru..tauba, tauba!'
He muttered.

Sonakshi moved back, but Rohit didn't let her go.

'Rohit..'

'No! I can't.. I won't let you go!'

'Iss ko paise to dene do..'

Rohit quickly reached inside his pocket and handed over some money to the driver.

The driver looked shocked.
'Itne saare?'

Without looking at him, his eyes riveted on his life, he spoke.
'Rakh lo! Aaj jo tum le ke aaye ho..uss ke badlay bohot chota sa inaam hai yeh..'

The driver was obviously more than happy to, and quickly depositing Sonakshi's luggage, drove off.
Ravi quickly came forward to pick her things, to take inside.

'Sona! Tum..tum kahan thi? Tumhe pata bhi hai..woh flight..crash..tum nahin mili..phone nahin mila..mein..woh..tum..'
Rohit tried getting out everything, but was unable to thread together a proper sentence.

'Sab batati hun..andar chal ke?'

Rohit nodded, held her hand and led her to the door.
Ravi was ringing the bell.

Naren opened it.
'Kya, Ravi? Tum to Rohit ko..' his voice stopped as Rohit and Sonakshi came in his view.

'Sonakshi!'

'Kya?'

They heard Veena's shout, as she came running behind Naren and saw Sonakshi with her own eyes.
Rohit let her go, as she went running to hug Veena, and then Naren.

'Oh, God! Aap ka laakh laakh shukar! Meri bachi! Tum theek to ho na? Kahan thi tum? Kya..'

'Usse andar to aane do, Veena!'

Sonakshi came inside, her eyes searching.
Veena noticed.

'Arihaan?'
Sonakshi nodded, her tears falling, unheeded.
'Mere room mein abhi le gayi thi..'

But Sonakshi was already running.
She reached the room, and stopped at the door. Arihaan was asleep, but she ran upto him, and lifted him in her arms, hugging him to her.
He opened his eyes.

'Arihaan? Mama!'
Sonakshi was crying like anything, when Arihaan recognised her voice and her. He lifted a tiny hand, and it landed on her cheek, as if he was wiping her tears,

'Wuaaahhh..' he crooned, and Sonakshi dug her face in his chest, holding him tightly. He quickly grabbed her hair and pulled.
Sonakshi smiled through her tears.
