Chapter 192

'Rohit! Tum arahe ho ke nahin?'

'Han, Sona! I'm on the way!'

Sonakshi and Pari had taken Arihaan and Soham to the park, and when Sonakshi had told Rohit on the phone, how much Arihaan was enjoying the swings, Rohit had gotten really excited.
He had told them to wait there, and he would come see for himself.

'Arihaan! Idhar dekho!'
Pari was busy clicking photos of both the boys.

Arihaan was standing holding the railing of a bridge-tunnel swing. He was stomping his feet on the wooden slats and crying out in glee. Soham was holding the other end, but he was busy walking along the bridge.

Sonakshi also clicked pictures with her phone, enjoying her son's excitement.

'Hey, mera monkey!'

Arihaan's attention was diverted, as he heard Rohit's voice.

'Baba!'

Sonakshi turned to where Rohit was striding across the grass towards them.
Ever since Rohit had fallen sick at work, a week back, he had been taking things a bit slow. He came home by the evening, in time to enjoy his time with Arihaan and the family.
He had lost weight, but Sonakshi was on a mission. She would call him several times a day at work, to see if he had been eating, if he had  been exerting himself. Rohit would tease and assure her, but secretly, he was loving Sonakshi's care and attention towards him.

'Baba ka monkey! Bara maza araha hai aap ko..wow!!'
As Arihaan stomped his feet on the wood.

'Soham!'
Pari called him, as he went crawling inside the tunnel, and refused to come out.

Sonakshi went to help Pari, but Soham didn't come out. Obviously, the tunnel was too small for an adult to go in, so she tried cajoling him, but he refused to listen.

'Mama!'
He called out.

'Kya hua?'
Rohit called out from where he was playing with Arihaan.

'Rohit! Yeh Soham andar se nikal hi nahin raha, or ab Tanya ko pukaar raha hai..'

'Tum idhar aao, Arihaan ke paas..I'll check.'

Rohit and Sonakshi switched places, and Rohit began talking to Soham.

'Soham! Aap to Big Chachu ke good boy ho na. Ajao! Big Chachu aap ko ghumaane le jayenge. Come!'
Rohit leaned in as much as he could.

'Mama!'
Soham called out, and looked as if he was about to cry.

'Good boy, Soham! Ghar chalenge na, Mama ke paas!'

'Mama, ghar?'
Soham asked.

'Yes! Mama ghar pe hain..aao, Big Chachu aap ko le ke jayenge un ke paas..come, shabaash..'

Rohit continued enticing him, with no real response from inside.
Sonakshi was getting worried now. She lifted up Arihaan from the bridge and also moved to where Soham was stuck inside the tunnel.

'Saam, saam!!'
Arihaan said excitedly, on being put on the grass. He immediately turned in the other direction, to crawl away, when Pari caught him.

They didn't know exactly how it happened, but seeing Arihaan crawling on the grass outside, somehow excited Soham, and he crawled out of the tunnel by himself.

'Shukar! Mujhe to lag raha tha ab Tanya ko hi na bulana parr jaye..'
Sonakshi ran after Pari and the kids.
'Woh to phir bhi thora bara hai, par agar Arihaan hota to..'
Sonakshi felt a shiver go down her spine.

'Do minute or, or meri baaton se nikalne hi wala tha..'
Rohit was saying.

'Yeah, right! Aisa kon sa charm kar rahe thay usse, ke woh bahar ajaata? Kaam to mere bete ne kiya na..'
