Sonakshi looked startled.

'What?'

'Yeh tum se kis ne kaha? Aise industry ke baare mein. Tum to khud abhi mujhse pooch rahi thi na.'

'Han..woh..bataya tha na..woh baccha hai na Ronit..'

'Us ne kaha aisa?' He raised an eyebrow.

She chuckled.

'No! Us ki mom ne. Woh mujhse keh rahi thi..'

'Usse kaise pata?'

'I don't know Rohit..aise hi general baat ho rahi thi. She knew I am married to an actor. To aise hi bol diya hoga.'

He looked a bit perturbed, but let it go.

The channel had been changed to his show.

Sonakshi smiled as Rohit's face filled the screen.

'Kitne achay lag rahe ho..'

'Jeeta jaagta tumhare saamne betha hun, or tum TV wale se khush horahi ho..'

'Pata hai, sab se pehle maine jab TV pe tumhe dekha tha na, to tumhari aankhon ka ek closeup aaya tha. There was this intense, hungry look in your eyes..'

He turned her towards him and gave her an intense, hungry look.

'Aise?'

Sonakshi smiled.

'Han aise..or bas..phir yeh aankhen mujhe raat mein bhi haunt karne lagi thi. Aisa lagta tha ke agar yeh look mere liye hoti, to kaisa lagta?'

'To batao! Kaisa lag raha hai?'

He brought his hand on her cheek.

Sonakshi closed her eyes, then opened them.

'Aisa jaise doob rahi hun..'

'Tairna to aata hai na?' he whispered close to her ear.

'Seekh rahi hun..par har baar gehrayi barh jaati hai..'

He brought his lips on hers, and soon they were lost in each other.

A couple of days later, Ronit's mother and Ronit came again.

This was becoming a regular thing.

Sonakshi was becoming a bit disconcerted.

It began to seem as if she was trying to use Ronit to talk to her.

Everytime, she would mention something about the TV industry and how it was all fake and anyone from it, not to be trusted.

It was as if she wanted Sonakshi to believe the worst.

'Ronit! Aap ko day care mein maza aata hai?'

Sonakshi asked as she gave him juice to drink.

'Maza to aata hai..par aap ke saath or zyada! But roz roz mein aa nahin sakta na.'

He took the juice and sat on a chair, looking put out.

Sonakshi smiled at him.

'Ji, Dr. Sonakshi! Day care bohot acha hai aap ka. Maine to Ronit ki registration hi karwa di since he comes often.'

Sonakshi smiled as she looked up from her laptop.

'Mujhe aap ko thankyou bhi karna tha..'

'Kis baat ke liye?'

'Aap ne mujhe Dr. Rai ko refer kiya. I think his sessions are really helping me. So thankyou.'

'Aray, not at all. Yeh to mera farz tha.'
