At Jason and Sam's Penthouse

"Thanks Spinelli. Call me if you find anything else." Sam said before hanging up her cell phone and setting it back on the coffee table.

"Nothing new?" Spencer said as she looked at her, Sam nodded. "Not yet. He is going to keep looking for something on his end." She said and Spencer nodded before turning her attention back to her laptop. "I just hope that between the three of us, we can finally put an end to this, for Maxie's sake." She said and her mother nodded. "Yeah, me too." Sam said. "You want another cup of coffee?" Spencer asked her. "Yeah, that sounds great to me. Thanks baby girl. Now, I'm not even going to ask you how many cups you had before you came over here." Sam said as Spencer playfully rolled her eyes. "Well thank you for that, Mom. I promise I'm not overdoing it." She said and Sam nodded. "I know, you know how to handle yourself." Sam said as she smiled softly at her. "Yes, I do. I appreciate the confidence, Mom." Spencer said before picking up their mugs. She then stood up from the couch and walked over to the table, she refilled their mugs and then she walked back over the couch and handed her mom her hug before sitting back next to her and taking a sip of her own coffee.

"So, what's our next move?" Spencer asked as she looked at Sam. "Well, I think that we should take another look at that list Maxie had sent us from before, and this time do some extra checking to see if any of the people on the list have relatives or something." Sam said and Spencer nodded. "Okay, that seems like a good idea. Let's do that." She said as she got out the list and then she opened up her laptop and Sam did the same with hers, each of them hoping that one of them would find something, anything to help them figure out who has been after Maxie.

"Yeah, that sounds great. I'll keep in touch. Talk to you soon. Bye." Maxie said before hanging up the phone. "I'm guessing that was the new French designer that we want to feature in the next issue." Hanna said as she looked up from her laptop and looked over at her. "Yeah, everything's all set." Maxie said as she looked at her. "That's good news." Hanna said. "Yes it is." Maxie said before she took a sip of her coffee. "Mom." Hanna said, slightly concerned. "What?" Maxie asked. "Now, I don't want to sound like I'm seriously overstepping my boundaries here, but... have you heard from the anonymous person again?" Hanna asked her. "You know when you word it like that, it doesn't sound as nearly as serious." Maxie said as she took another sip of her coffee.

"I just want to help you, Mom." Hanna said. "Han, you are helping me. By being here with me and doing your job. You don't have to worry about me." Maxie said. "Yeah, well I can't help it. I am. And I know that as much as you have tried to make it seem like you're not that scared, I know that this has taken its toll on you." Hanna said and Maxie sighed softly. "I know what you're going to say, Han. I know that you're an adult and I know that I can open up to you if I need to. But I'm your mom. That's not going to stop me from trying to protect you from being dragged deep into this mess." She said and Hanna shook her head. "Mom, you don't need to worry about me. I'm the one who is worried about you." She said, frowning. "There's no need to be, though. I will be totally fine." Maxie said. "Not that I don't think you can take care of yourself, because I know that you can. And I know that Spence and Sam are going to figure out who is doing this, but I still can't help but worry." Hanna said. "Like I said, there's no need to worry. Everything's going to be okay." Maxie said. "Mom... maybe it's time that you finally get a hold of Grandpa?" Hanna said, which resulted in Maxie immediately shaking her head. "No, that's not going to happen. I haven't changed my mind about that, Han." She said, insisting adamantly. "But don't you think that he deserves to be aware of what's going on?" Hanna asked. "I'm not calling him, Han. He's got enough things on his plate right now." Maxie said. "But you're his daughter, and he would want to know." Hanna said. "Not that I think you're wrong, but the situation is being handled." Maxie said. "I mean I know that, but you think that you should still tell him?" Hanna asked. "No, not at this moment. I'm not going to tell him. Maybe after it's all over and done with, but I'm not going to bother him with it right now. That's my final decision. Can we please get back to work now?" Maxie asked. "Okay, okay. I'll drop it and we can get back to work. For now." Hanna said as she threw her hands up in defeat. "Thank you." Maxie said as she turned her attention back to her laptop, then Hanna opened her laptop back up and went back to work as well.
