Chapter Fifty Three

The next morning

At an unknown location

"You're awake." Toby couldn't believe who was sitting just a few feet away from him.

"Spencer?" He asked, his voice filled with hope.

"You don't know how worried I was, I thought I lost you."

"H-how'd you find me?" Toby asked curiously.

"Oh I'm sorry baby, this is just a dream, I'm not really here."

Toby felt a tear roll down his face.

"Spence?"

"Yeah?"

"I miss you so much."

"I miss you too Tobes."

"I don't care if this isn't real and you're not really here, can you come closer to me? Please even if this is just a dream I need to feel your touch on my skin again. Please Spence." Toby said desperately and Spencer immediately nodded and then she stood up and walked across the room and sat down right in front of him and then she gently kissed his forehead.

"How was that?" She asked giving him a small smile and he smiled back at her. "Perfect, you don't know how much I needed that." Toby said and then Spencer gently stroked his cheek with her hand. "What have they been doing to you?" She asked with concern and Toby wanted to cry at how worried she was, even if this was just a dream he was just grateful to be seeing her right now, he needed this he needed to see her again even if it wasn't really happening.

"Nothing I can't handle baby girl." Toby said and Spencer frowned looking at the chains on his hands. "I just wish there was a way I could help you." She said with concern in her voice. "You being here is helping me, more than you know Spence." He said smiling at her and then she wrapped her arms around his body and he put his head against hers and breathed in her scent and she hugged him tightly.

"Promise me something?" Spencer asked and Toby nodded.

"Anything, you know that." Toby said.

"I need you to fight okay? Please Tobes fight for me and our baby because we need you to come home to us, please Tobes." Spencer asked desperately as she kissed his neck and Toby could feel tears in his eyes as well.

"I promise Spence, I promise that I will do whatever it takes to get home to you and our baby." Toby said as he placed kisses in her hair.

"We miss you so much." She cried into his chest and all he wanted to do was hold her.

"I miss you too baby girl, more than you know, and I promise you that I will make it home to you and our baby, if it's the last thing I do." Toby said trying not to cry.

"I think it's time for me to go now." Spencer said as she started to pull away from him.

"No please don't leave me Spence I need you to stay here with me please." Toby begged, tears threatening to spill out of his eyes.

"Tobes this is just a dream, I can't stay here, no matter how much I want to." Spencer said as she stroked his cheek again.

"I know but I don't care baby girl I need you here with me, even if this isn't really happening right now I need you." Toby pleaded.

"Then I'll stay, for as long as I can." She said before kissing his cheek and he breathed a sigh of relief.

At Jason and Sam's penthouse

Despite trying to get some sleep because she was so exhausted, Spencer kept waking up numerous times because of nightmares of Toby being hurt, or worse and Sam stayed on the couch with her and Maggie all night.
