Chapter Seventeen

The next day

At GH

It was well into the afternoon and Toby was still laying in the hospital bed with Spencer and he was watching her sleep peacefully, he was happy she was getting some more rest because most of the night they just stayed up talking since she couldn't sleep, probably mainly due to the fact she had just woken up from a coma but Toby knew she was also stressing herself about where Jerry was, and he was determined to keep her mind off of it, he hoped to hear from Jason soon with any update, although it would be nice if the update was that he found him so Toby could go beat the crap out of him for doing this to his Spencer.

A few minutes later Spencer started to wake up and she looked up and saw Toby watching over her and gave him a small smile and he gently kissed her forehead.

“How was your nap?” Toby asked playing with her hair. “It was good, I'm surprised though because I didn't expect to be that tired so soon after waking up from a coma but I guess it's all of the pain meds they have me on.” Spencer shrugged, Toby gave a small smile and kissed the top of her head gently, he was just happy that she was slowly getting better and that her voice was slowly but surely going back to normal since waking up from the coma yesterday.

“Has my Dad came back yet?” She asked sitting up a little and Toby shook his head. “No, but don't you worry okay it'll be okay, he's going to find him and we will make him pay for what he did to you okay?” He said and she nodded and then he knew she could use a hug do he gently wrapped his arms around her not wanting to hurt her shoulder and she snuggled back into his chest. “ It's not just me I'm worried about.”

At Sonny's Warehouse

Jason and Sonny were at his warehouse talking about how to track down Jerry when he got a phone call from Sam.

“Hey you, how's our girl doing?”

“Hey, she's slowly getting better which is good, the other reason why I'm calling is to ask for an update, did you find Jerry yet?”

“No but I'm not going to stop looking until I find him and make him pay for shooting our daughter.”

“I know you will Jason, I'm just worried.”

“Sam I'll be fine okay I know how to handle Jerry I've done it before, and you know that I know what I am doing and that I would never leave you or our kids right?

“Of course I know that and I know you're the best at what you do but it doesn't mean I don't get worried about you Jason.”

“I know exactly what you mean my PI wife.”

Sam laughed and then said “Just promise me that you'll be careful and that you'll come see Spence soon okay? She's worried about you too Jason.”

“I promise, I love you.”

“I love you too Jason.”

Once Jason hung up he turned back to Sonny. “How's Spencer?” He asked. “She's hanging in there, I just wish there was something more I could do for her, I know how much she hates being in the hospital, she got from both me and Sam, but mostly me.” Jason said and Sonny nodded. “No doubt about that, but hey she has Toby so she'll be just fine Jason, and plus you are doing everything you can do right now, you're looking for Jerry and I promise you I won't stop looking until we find him and make him pay for this okay?” Sonny asked and Jason nodded. “Thanks Sonny.” “What're best friends for?” Sonny said
and Jason gave a small smile.

At the PCPD

Alison, Dante, Chase, Valerie, and Anna, are at the PCPD trying to track down Jerry.
