Chapter One Hundred and Nine

A Week Later

At Nathan and Maxie's Apartment

"Max are you sure that you don't want me to help you finish setting up?" Nathan asked his wife who was putting up the "Happy Birthday" banner across the fireplace mantle. "No that's okay, I've got it." Maxie said smiling softly at him before securing the banner to the mantel. 

"I just can't believe that this day is already here." Nathan said. "I know, our little princess is now officially one year old." Maxie said as she sat down next to him on the couch. "Yeah I know it's pretty crazy." Nathan said. "Definitely." Maxie agreed. "So what time is everyone going to be here?" Nathan asked curiously. "I told everyone to be here by around 3-ish." Maxie said and he nodded. "Oh okay so we have some time then." Nathan said smirking at her. "I guess you could say that." Maxie said smiling at him and Nathan leaned in to kiss her and she smiled into the kiss and wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back.

At Jason and Sam's Penthouse

Jason walked down the stairs and looked over the table where Sam was sitting working on her laptop, he walked over and sat across from her.

"Hey." He said and Sam looked up at him and smiled softly. "Hey." She said happily. "You know that you can take a break." Jason said, not that he was trying to pressure her or anything he just didn't want her to overwork herself but he knows she's been trying to focus a little more on work to keep herself distracted from thinking about everything that happened with Shiloh. "I know, and I will, but I appreciate your concern." Sam said. "I just don't want you to overwork yourself." Jason said. "And since when have I ever done that?" Sam asked him curiously. "I know that you know what you're doing, but you know that I just want you to be okay." Jason said and Sam nodded. "And I'm fine." She said smiling softly at him. "Just know that I'm here." Jason said and she reached across the table and grabbed his hand comfortingly. "I know, and I love you for that." She said. "I love you too." Jason said.

At Spoby's House

Toby walked down the stairs after putting Marion down for a nap and he smiled softly when he saw that Spencer was curled up on the couch sleeping and Maggie was curled up in a ball next to her, he quietly made his way over to the couch and then he bent down and kissed Spencer's forehead gently and then she slowly opened her eyes.

"Tobes." She smiled at him. "Hey, I didn't mean to wake you up." Toby said as he stroked her hair gently. "It's okay, seeing your face is never a bad thing." Spencer said smiling softly at him and he smiled back at her. "How's our baby girl?" She asked him. "She's good, she's sleeping." Toby said and Spencer nodded.

"Okay good." She said. "I'm glad you managed to get some sleep too, because I'm assuming that you still want to go to Meghan's First Birthday Party." Toby said and Spencer nodded. "Yeah I do, it's hard to believe that she's already a year old." Spencer said as she sat up and Toby sat next to her and wrapped his arm around her. "Yeah I know, and I don't even want to think about next year when our baby girl turns one." He said. "Hey, I am feeling the exact same way that you do, but I promise you that she will always be our baby girl." Spencer said. "I know, it just feels like the time's moving so fast, I mean she's already going to be two months pretty soon." Toby said. "Yeah I know, it does seem like it's going by pretty fast." Spencer said and he squeezed her hand comfortingly. "Yeah, but I you're right, no matter what she will always be our little princess." Toby said smiling softly at her. "Exactly." Spencer said smiling back at him and then Toby leaned in to kiss her and she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back.

Three Hours Later

Back at Nathan and Maxie's Apartment

"We can't thank you all enough for being here and celebrating our Meghan." Maxie said smiling. "Of course, we couldn't miss this." Spencer said smiling softly. "Spence is right." Aria said smiling. "We're all glad that you're here." Hanna said happily. "Like Spence just said, we wouldn't have missed this." Emily said.
"Well we're all glad that you're here to celebrate Meghan with us, please enjoy yourselves." Nathan said smiling at everyone.
