Chapter One Hundred and Seventeen

A Few Days Later

At Spoby's House

"How's our girl doing?" Spencer asked as she walked downstairs and over to the couch where Toby was holding Marion in his lap.

"She's calmed down a bit I think, the teething toy is definitely helping." Toby said before looking down at Marion who was chewing on one of her coffee cup teething toys, Spencer smiled sympathetically at her daughter.

"Our poor baby girl." She said before kissing her forehead gently and then she looked back at Toby. "You know it's not just the getting you though, she's comfortable in your arms." Spencer said smiling at him. "Well I'm happy to be her safe place." Toby said smiling softly. "You're our safe place to land." Spencer said before kissing him and he kissed her back.

"It's my pleasure, do you really have to go right now?" Toby said and Spencer nodded sadly. 

"I really wish I didn't, but I promised Nelle that we could catch up today at The Metro Court, plus Em should be working and I want to see her too." Spencer said and Toby nodded. "Yeah of course, tell Nelle I said hi." He said. "Of course." Spencer said. "You be careful, okay?" Toby asked. "I'll be fine, nothing to worry about." Spencer said smiling softly at him and he nodded. "I know you will, and so will we, but how about you give me a kiss first?" Toby said smirking at her and she smiled at him before leaning in to kiss him and he smiled and kissed her back passionately and eventually they had to pull apart for air. 

"Okay now I really need to go." Spencer said. "Yeah I know, be careful." Toby said before kissing her cheek and she smiled at him. "You be good for Daddy okay baby girl?" Spencer said before kissing Marion's forehead. "She always is." Toby said smiling. "Yeah I know, you be good for Daddy too Maggs." Spencer said and Maggie barked happily in understanding and Spencer and Toby laughed softly. "Okay I'll be back." Spencer said before kissing him softly and she kissed Marion's forehead again and then she walked out the door and Toby smiled to himself before looking down at Marion who was still chewing on her teething toy. 

At The PCPD

"You know I really wish that you didn't have to work late tonight." Alison said before kissing Chase again, they were standing at his desk. 

"I know, but duty calls, I promise that I'll make it up to you." Chase said as he stroked her hair gently and she smiled at him. "I know you will, but I just want you to be careful." Ali said. "I know you do, and I will be careful I promise." Chase said before kissing her forehead and she smiled at him. "I know you will, okay I should probably get to work, I love you." Ali said smiling at him. "I love you too Ali, I'll see you tomorrow." Chase said before kissing her again. "Call me when you get back to your apartment?" Ali asked. "It might be a bit late." Chase said. "You think I care about that? I'll wait up." Ali said. "You don't have to do that." Chase said. "We've been over this, I'm waiting up for you to call me later so I know that you're okay." Ali said. "Okay I get your point." Chase said before kissing her again and Ali smiled into the kiss and kissed him back passionately.

"Okay now I really need to get to work, I love you detective Chase." Ali said smiling at him. 

"I love you more Alison Falconeri." Chase said before kissing her again and she kissed him back and then she hugged him before leaving the station and Chase smiled to himself before sitting down at his desk.

At The Metro Court

"It's so good to see you." Nelle said as she gave Spencer a hug. "It's good to see you too Nelle, I feel like it's been way too long since we've had the chance to hang out." Spencer said. "Yeah definitely, I need to come and visit you soon, how is Marion doing?" Nelle asked.
