A Few Days Later

At Spoby's House

In Their Bedroom

Toby stood in the bathroom looking in the mirror, trying to adjust his tie and trying to brave himself for whatever was going to take place at the hearing today, he was very nervous about the possibility of Ruby getting out of Pentonville. "She's going to get what she deserves Toby, stop worrying." He whispered to himself before taking another deep breath. It was then that Spencer walked into the room holding Marion, Maggie followed behind them.

"Tobes?" Spencer said and he walked out of the bathroom. "There's my girls." Toby said smiling at them, it was like a little bit of his uneasiness about the hearing just melted away as soon as he looked at his wife and daughter.

"Hey handsome. I just wanted to come check on you, and then of course our little princess wanted to come too." Spencer said as she laughed softly. "Dada!" Marion exclaimed excitedly. "Hi baby girl." Toby said smiling at her before gently kissing her forehead and Spencer smiled as she watched them. "You know that we love you, right?" She asked him and he looked at her. "Of course I do." He said.

"Good. Never forget that." She said. "I don't plan to, by the way, you look gorgeous Spence, as always." Toby said and Spencer blushed a little. "Thanks."

She then sat Marion down on the bed and then walked back over to Toby.

"You ready?" Spencer asked him as she cupped his face with her hands and stroked his cheeks with her thumbs. "Not really, no. But I know that as long as I have you by my side I know it'll be okay." Toby said as he smiled softly at her. "Exactly, and see that's another reason you're way better than she is, she's rotting away in Pentonville for what she did to you, and I promise you that it'll stay that way, while you are here, safe and sound with your family and friends who love you very much." Spencer said as she smiled at him. "You're right, and you know that I cherish every minute of it, honestly I don't know what I'd do without you, that's why I want to ensure that she stays locked up, not just because of her obsession with me, but I would never be able to forgive myself if she got ahold of you…" Toby said before looking down at the floor, Spencer carefully lifted his head up so he was looking into her eyes once again. "Hey, I know that you do, and I promise you that you won't have to worry about losing me, because she's not getting out of Pentonville. Not if I have anything to say about it, and Diane knows what she's doing babe." She said and he nodded. "I know, I know. It's just-" "I know. I mean I'm kinda freaking out on the inside too, but please try and not stress yourself out too much, for me?" Spencer said as she gave him her puppy eyes, he sighed softly. "Now you know that's not fair."

He said as he raised his eyebrows. "What? I'm just trying to get you to at least try and relax a little, I just hate seeing you like this, but we're in this together, as always." She said smiling softly at him. "I know, and I'm trying my best, and as I just said, as long as I have you by my side I know that it'll be okay." He said before kissing her forehead, Marion babbled happily and they both laughed softly. "You'll always have both of us, don't worry about that." Spencer said smiling at him before kissing him, Toby smiled into the kiss and kissed her back as he wrapped his arms around her, after they broke apart for air Toby took a deep breath and laid his head on her shoulder, she rubbed his back comfortingly. "It'll be okay Tobes, we got this." She whispered to him as she held him in her arms, she wished there was more she could do, hopefully things will go as they hoped.
