Chapter Fifty Two

The next morning

Spencer finally managed to fall asleep last night on the couch somehow and she was still sleeping when there was a knock at the door and she immediately woke up and figured that it was Chase with news about Toby so she got off the couch and went to the door and she was pleasantly surprised when she opened it.

“Toby!” Spencer cried with relief as she threw her arms around her husband. “I'm here Spence I'm here.” Toby said as he held her in his arms. “Oh my God, you're here.” Spencer cried into his chest. “Nothing can keep me away from you and our baby.” Toby said as he kissed the top of her head.
“I was so worried about you.” Spencer said as she looked up at him and once she truly looked at his face she noticed a large scratch down his cheek and she gasped. “You're hurt.” She said worriedly as she ran her thumb over his cheek gently. “I'm fine Spence it's nothing it's just a scratch.” Toby insisted but Spencer shook her head. “It's not just a scratch Tobes, it's from the crash isn't it?” She asked and he nodded. “Come here.” Spencer said as she lead him to the couch and then she sat down next to him and he wrapped his arm around her. “I missed you so much.” Spencer said as she rested her head on his shoulder. “I missed you too Spence, but it's over now and I'm not going anywhere.” Toby said before kissing the top of her head again. “How's our baby?” Toby asked as he rubbed her back comfortingly. “Our little one is just fine Tobes, we've both been worrying about you.” Spencer said as she placed her hand on her still flat stomach. “Well I'm okay now that I'm back with my two favorite people.” Toby said smiling at her. “Wait, who took you?” Spencer asked curiously. “That's not important right now, what matters is that I'm home now, and I love you so much.” Toby said and Spencer smiled at him. “I wanted to say that first.”
Spencer said before smashing her lips into his and Toby immediately kissed her back.

And then she really woke up.

Spencer immediately sat up on the couch and she looked around the room frantically.
“Toby?” She called out for him, that couldn't have been a dream, he was here and he was safe. “Toby!” She called again and got no response, boy was this some major Deja Vu. “No, no this isn't happening!” Spencer exclaimed as she started to cry again. “Tobes.” Spencer sobbed as she put her head in her hands and started to hyperventilate, it felt like her heart was breaking all over again and she didn't know what to do and she tried to calm herself down as she put her hands on her stomach and she tried to take a deep breath but it came out as more of a sob. “He was never really here, h-he’s still m-missing.” She cried as her hyperventilating got worse and she couldn't breathe and it felt like her world was turned upside down all over again and she couldn't take the pain anymore, she just needs Toby to be safe. It was then that Sam came downstairs and saw her oldest daughter sobbing and hyperventilating in a ball on the couch and she quickly went over to her and wrapped her arms around her and tried to calm her down. “Shhh Spence everything's going to be okay I promise you that Toby is going to be okay Spence we're going to find him baby I promise.” Sam soothed to her as she rubbed her back comfortingly. “H-he was here….. he was
h-here and he was safe….. a-and then I woke up.” Spencer cried. “Oh honey.” Sam said soothingly. “I c-can't do this Mom I c-can't.” Spencer cried as her breathes got heavier and Sam started rocking her in her arms trying to calm her down. “It's going to be okay baby I promise, just breathe
Spence.” Sam said. “I want Toby, I need him!” Spencer cried. “I know baby I know, he's going to be okay I promise, just try and breathe Spence.” Sam said as she held her in her arms as Spencer continued to cry.

At Sonny and Carly's house

“Okay thanks Jason, keep me posted.”

Sonny said before hanging up the phone.

“Any news?” Emily asked and Sonny shook his head. “Jason is with Spinelli right now.”

Sonny said and Emily nodded before looking down and Sonny put his hand on her shoulder comfortingly. “I promise you that I will not give up on him okay? We're going to find him Em.” Sonny said and Emily nodded.
