Chapter Fourty Four

The next morning

At Spoby's house

Toby woke up early the next morning once he felt Spencer move away from him and he immediately knew she was running to the bathroom and he immediately got out of bed and ran in the bathroom after her and he knelt down next to her and he rubbed her back comfortingly as she emptied her stomach into the toilet.

"It's going to be okay Spence I'm right here."
Toby soothed to her.

When she was finally finished she leaned back into Toby and he wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.

"I know I've already been having  morning sickness the past week but that doesn't make it any less annoying." Spencer said weakly as Toby rubbed her arm with his hand. "I know baby but it'll be worth it when we have our little one in nine months." He said and Spencer nodded. "Yeah I know." She said. "You okay now?" He asked and she nodded. "Yeah I'm alright, you know you don't have to keep waking up early and comforting me." She said. "Spencer yes I do I am your husband and we're in this together okay? There's nowhere else I'd rather be."
He said before kissing the top of her head.

"I love you " Spencer said as she buried her head in his shoulder. "I love you too baby
girl." Toby said as he continued to hold her in his arms.

A few hours later

"You sure you're okay?" Toby asked with concern in his voice. "Yes Tobes I promise you that I'm fine now." Spencer said smiling at him. "I just want to make sure that you are okay." He said kissing the top of her head. "I'm fine." Spencer reassured him. "Are you ready for tonight?" He asked and she nodded. "Ready to put Sharon away in prison." Spencer said. "Are you are this is the best way to do that?" Toby asked with concern and Spencer looked up at him. "Everything is going to be fine Tobes, nothing is going to happen to me or our little one." Spencer said smiling at him as she put his hand on her stomach and he smiled at her. "I just want you to be safe Spence." Toby said and Spencer put her head back on his chest. "Everything's going to be fine Tobes I promise, I know what I'm doing." Spencer said. "I know you do." Toby said before kissing the top of her head.

Just then Spencer's phone went off and she groaned before pulling it out of her pocket. "Why do we ways seem to get interrupted by our phones?" Toby asked and she laughed. "I have no idea." Spencer said laughing.

"It's Chase, he wants me to come to the PCPD." Spencer said. "Do you have to go right now?" Toby asked frowning and then he kissed her neck making her moan. "Tobyyy I should probably go now and then we'll finish this later, promise." She said before kissing him and then she reluctantly pulled away and got off the couch and Toby stood up and put his hands on her arms gently. "Be careful okay?" He asked and she nodded. "Always am." She said before kissing his cheek and he smiled and then he knelt down and kissed her still flat stomach. "I love you little one." He said and Spencer smiled. "And I love you too Mrs. Cavanaugh." He said before passionately kissing her. "I love you too Mr. Cavanaugh."
She said before stroking his face with her hand and then she kissed him again and then she said goodbye to Maggie before leaving the house.

At the PCPD

"So what did you want to talk about?" Spencer asked Chase curiously.

"Well I know that you are trying to help Nelle clear her name from having any involvement in Zack's death and I thought you deserved to know this." Chase said. "Know what?" Spencer asked. "Back right after Zack's death once Nelle was back in Florida, I was the officer that questioned her." Chase admitted. "You were?" Spencer asked and Chase nodded. "I knew there was no way she could've killed him so I let her go." He said. "Wait, why didn't you just say you knew Nelle when you came to town?" Ali asked. "Because I didn't think it was relevant, and then when I started dating you I didn't want to ruin things between us." Chase said.
