Chapter Sixty Six

The Next Day

At Spoby's House

“Please Tobes?” Spencer asked desperately and Toby shook his head. “The answer is still no Spence, you've already had enough decaf for today, and it's not even noon yet.” Toby said before giving her a look and Spencer playfully rolled her eyes. “Oh come on, pleeease? Just one more cup and then I'll stop, I promise.” She said giving him her puppy dog eyes that Toby can't resist. “Okay now that's not fair Spence you know I can't give you anymore, for your sake and the baby's.” Toby said calmly but sternly and Spencer frowned. “I know I know, but you know I had to try.” She said before laughing. “Oh I know.” Toby laughed too.

“So what're your plans for today handsome?” Spencer asked smiling at him. “Well I was thinking about spending the day with my wife and our baby, how does that sound to you?” Toby said and Spencer nodded. “That sounds like the definition of a perfect day to me.” She said smiling at him and he stood up and walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist protectively and he kissed her forehead and Spencer smiled at him before passionately kissing him and Toby kissed her back.

At Jason and Sam's Penthouse

“Have you heard from Drew?” Sam asked and Jason shook his head. “No, which is understandable considering Oscar's situation, I just wish that there was something I could do to help.” Jason said frowning and Sam stroked his cheek gently. “I know you do, and that's one of the things I love about you is how much you care, but the only thing that you can do is just be there for support.” She said and Jason nodded. “Yeah I know, it's just so terrible, Oscar doesn't deserve this.” He said. “I know, it's a really sucky and unfortunate situation, and it really makes you think, like I am so lucky to be here with you, and that all of our kids are happy and healthy.” Sam said and Jason nodded. “Yeah me too, I don't know what I would do without you or our kids.” Jason said.

“Well you're stuck with us so you don't have to worry about that.” Sam said smiling at him and Jason smiled back and leaned in to kiss her lips softly and she kissed him back passionately, until they were interrupted by the sound of Emily Scout crying and they had to pull away from each other. “And speaking of our healthy children.” Sam said and they both laughed. “I'll get her.” Sam said starting to get off the couch but Jason stopped her. “No you stay, I'll get her.” He said before standing up and Sam nodded and then Jason smiled softly at her before kissing her forehead and then going upstairs to check on their baby girl.

At Drew and Kim's Apartment

“It's good to be home.” Oscar said as he walked through the door with his parents.

“Well it's great to have you out of the hospital and back home where you belong.” Kim said smiling. “Yeah your Mom's right it's great to have you back home.” Drew said. “Okay there's actually something that your Father and I need to talk to you about.” Kim said before looking at Drew and he nodded telling her to continue, Oscar looked at them curiously.

“What's up?” Oscar asked nervously.
“Well son your Mom and I did some research, and we talked with your Doctor and as it turns out there is a special medical trial that was designed specifically for your cancer, it starts December 1st.” Drew said. “The thing is that it hasn't exactly been tested yet but it's very promising that it could cure you Oscar, the tumor could go away.” Kim said. “But you said that this trial hasn't even been tested by anyone else yet, so if it doesn't work then I could die.” Oscar said. “Oscar honey this is your best option right now.” Kim said. “Your Mom's right, you'll definitely die without doing this treatment.” Drew said and Oscar looked down at the floor. “Please at least just think about it.” Kim said and Oscar looked up at them. “Yeah sure, I'll think about it, but I just need some time to myself right now.” Oscar said before running out the door and Kim tried to go after him but Drew gently grabbed her arm stopping her and she looked at him.
