The Next Morning

At Spoby's House

"Thank you for another amazing breakfast, my wonderful husband." Spencer said, smiling softly at Toby. "You're welcome baby girl. You know that you don't have to thank me though." Toby said as he smiled back at her before grabbing her hand gently, they were sitting on the couch together. "I know, but still." Spencer said. "So, how are you feeling about work today?" Toby asked her. "Well, I'm feeling a lot better than I was about it yesterday. I'm just trying to focus on your faith in me, and Hanna and Maxie's faith in me." Spencer said. "And that's exactly why they asked you and Sam to look into whoever is threatening Maxie. Because they know that you two will find out whoever it is and make sure that they're stopped." Toby said. "I mean I know that, but I still can't help but feel a little guilty that we haven't really gotten anywhere yet. This person is good at hiding." Spencer said. "They're probably just waiting for the appropriate time to make their next move. I'm sure that they're aware that the best Private Investigators in Port Charles are trying to find them." Toby said and Spencer blushed a little. "Thank you for that, you always know when to say exactly what I need to hear." Spencer said. "Because I know you." Toby said as he smiled softly at her. "And I wouldn't want it any other way." Spencer said.

"Me either. What time are you supposed to meet your mom?" Toby asked her. "Not for another half hour." Spencer said before taking another sip of her coffee. "Okay, so I get a little extra time with you." Toby said as he smiled softly at her. "Yes you do. Do you have any special plans while I'm working today?" Spencer said. "Not really. Marion, Maggs and I will probably just hang around here." Toby said as he looked at Marion who was on the floor playing with Maggie. "Sounds good to me." Spencer said. "Yeah. Now, I don't want to sound too overprotective or anything, but... be careful." Toby said. "I always am, you know that. And I happen to love it when you get overprotective." Spencer said before kissing him and he kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her. "You know that you have this magic touch, knowing just how to make me feel better." Toby said. "So do you." Spencer said and he smiled softly at her before kissing her forehead.

"I know that you will be fine. I mean you and your mom are the best Private Investigators this town has. I just, sometimes my worries take over a little too much." He said. "I know, and it's fine. I mean, I still worry about you when you leave to go to work, because sometimes I just flashback to when you left on your motorcycle, and then you were kept from me for six weeks." Spencer said as she looked down and Toby grabbed her hand and gave it a comforting squeeze. "Spence... there's nothing for you to be ashamed of. I completely understand. I mean I know that Ruby and Valentin are going to be locked up in Pentonville for the rest of their miserable lives, but sometimes it does creep back into my mind... what I went through... But I mainly try to focus on the positive. What's important, that I'm safe and I'm home with you and our wonderful daughter And, that Ruby won't be able to cause anymore trouble to our family." Toby said and Spencer looked back up at him, smiling slightly. "I try to focus on that too, I'm just glad that we can lean on each other when we need to." She said and Toby nodded. "Always." He said. "Like you said, the positive is what's important. You are here and you're safe, and Ruby can't hurt us anymore. She can't hurt you anymore." She said as she stroked his cheek gently.

"I love you so much." Toby said as he smiled softly at her. "I love you too, Tobes. So much." Spencer said before kissing him and he passionately kissed her back.

At Elizabeth and Lucky's House

"Have a good day at work, Cam." Elizabeth said and Cameron nodded. "I will. Oh, and don't worry about waiting for me to start dinner. Trina and I are going out." He said and Elizabeth nodded. "Oh, okay. You two have a good time." She said as she smiled softly at him. "We will. See you later." He said before giving his mom a hug. "We'll see you later." Elizabeth said and Cameron nodded before walking out the door.
