Chapter One Hundred and Ninety Seven

The Next Morning

At Spoby's House

In Their Bedroom

Toby was lying in bed watching Spencer who was peacefully sleeping with her head on his chest, he smiled softly as he watched her sleep. He's not surprised that she was still sleeping, they had a long, but great night last night.

Spencer had gotten home from The Floating Rib a little later than she had originally thought, but of course Toby still stayed up and waited for her. They were up late playing Scrabble and afterwards they stayed up just talking until they each finally fell asleep.

After another ten minutes, Spencer started to wake up.

"Good morning handsome." Spencer said as she opened up her eyes, she smiled up at him. "Good morning Gorgeous." Toby said as he leaned in to kiss her forehead gently. "What time is it? I definitely was not planning on over sleeping."

Spencer said. "You're fine, Spence. Don't worry about it. Besides, you needed the rest." Toby said. "Well, thank you for that, Tobes. Seriously though, what time is it?" Spencer asked him again. "It's almost eleven." Toby said. "Wow. I so did not mean to sleep in that much." Spencer said. "You do not have to worry about that, Babe. It's fine. Like I just said, you needed the rest. It's perfectly fine. You're fine." Toby said as he ran his hand through her hair gently. "Seriously, what would I do without you? Still, I can't help but still feel a little bad about it..." Spencer said, trailing off.

"You don't have to, because you're stuck with me. Like I just said, it's fine. You're fine. So, are you excited for tonight?" Toby asked her. "Our double date with Ali and Chase? Yes, of course I'm excited." Spencer said. "I'm glad. So am I. It should be a fun night." Toby said. "Yes, it should. So we agree that Marion and Maggie will spend the night at my parents, right?" Spencer said. "Yeah, everything's all set with that." Toby said. "Okay, good. Now, I know that we should probably at least sit up, but I still don't exactly want to move." Spencer said, Toby laughed softly. "Yeah, I get that. I really don't want to either." He said as he leaned in to kiss her forehead again.

"I mean, I know that we'll have to eventually..." Spencer said. "Yeah, that's true. But we still have right here, right now." Toby said. "So... ten more minutes?" Spencer asked him as she looked up at him with her puppy eyes. "I mean, you know that I can't say no to that face." Toby said as he smiled softly at her. "Yeah, that was the point." Spencer said and they both laughed softly, Toby then leaned in to kiss her and she smiled into the kiss and passionately kissed him back.

Ten Minutes Later

"Now, I'm sure our little princess is probably going to be awake within the next few minutes. What do you say we get ready to go to the nursery and then we'll all go down and have some breakfast?" Toby said. "Yeah, you're right. I'm honestly surprised that she's still asleep." Spencer said, her head was back on his chest. "Yeah, me too. Although we did have a really fun time together while you were out. I totally wore her out." Toby said. "Yeah, which I'm not surprised about. And I know you both enjoyed every minute of it." Spencer said, smiling softly up at him. "Of course, except for missing you." Toby said he smiled softly at her. "Awww, well thank you for that. Now, to answer your question, I say that sounds absolutely perfect." Spencer said, smiling back at him. "I was hoping you'd say that." Toby said.

"Okay, we should probably go check on our little princess now." Spencer said and Toby nodded. "Yeah, we should. Let's go." He said before gently kissing her forehead again. Then they got up from their bed and then they headed to Marion's nursery, and Maggie happily jumped off the bed and followed behind them.

At The PCPD

Chase was sitting at his desk, working on getting some paperwork filed, when Ali walked into the station.
