The Next Day

At Spoby's House

"You know I do love watching you type." Toby said smiling at his wife and Spencer laughed as she turned away from her laptop and looked at him. "Oh I know, I just wish that all this digging would turn into something." She said, sighing. "You still haven't found anything on Linc?" Toby said and she shook her head. "No, 
and I wanted to have some good news for Brooklyn when she comes over for an update." She said. "That's understandable, and I have no doubt in my mind that you'll find something on him soon, why don't you take a quick break?" Toby said. "Okay, but only if you make me another cup of coffee." Spencer said. "Spence, you've already had three cups this morning." Toby said as he raised his eyebrow at her. "Yeah but come on Tobes, what's one more?" Spencer said as she begged him with her puppy eyes that Toby can't say no to. "Okay, okay, fine. I'll go get you another cup." He said against his better judgement and Spencer couldn't help but laugh. "Thank you, husband." She said as she smiled softly at him. "Yeah you're welcome." Toby said before kissing her forehead and then he took her mug off the coffee table and went into the kitchen and Spencer turned back to her laptop, if only she could just find something on Linc, anything to that would be able to help Brooklyn get out of her contract, and she would, she just needed to keep looking.

At Jason and Sam's Penthouse

"You still haven't found anything? Thanks Spinelli." Jason said before hanging up the phone and putting it back in his pocket. "Was that about Jerry, or the guy from the pier?" Sam asked him curiously. "The guy from the pier, but nothing else on Jerry yet either." Jason said before sighing, Sam put her hand on his shoulder comfortingly. "Jason, I know that you will stop at nothing until Jerry is brought back into custody, and you also find the guy that targeted Spence and Em." She said and he smiled at her. "Of course, you know that my top priority is protecting you and our kids, that's all Sonny and I want, is to keep our families safe." He said. "I know that, and I know that you will." Sam said smiling softly at him before wrapping her arms around him and kissing him and he smiled into the kiss and kissed her back, and then came the sound of Phoenix crying from upstairs. "I'll go get her." Jason said as he stood up from the couch and kissed Sam's forehead, then he headed up the stairs and Sam smiled softly to herself before getting out her phone and texting Spencer.

"Hey baby girl, I just wanted to check in and see how you're doing."

"Hey Mom, I'm doing good, everything's good, just wishing that I could have some good news for Brooklyn when she comes over for an update."

"You still haven't found anything on her producer yet?"

"No, but it's not for lack of trying."

"I don't doubt that at all, just keep digging, I know you'll find something."

"Yeah well here's hoping, how are things on the search for Jerry front?"

"Your dad and Sonny are still working on it, we'll let you know if anything changes."

"I know."

"Okay I'll let you get back to work, I love you Spence."

"Love you too Mom. ❤️"

Sam smiled softly to herself as she set her phone down on the coffee table and waited for Jason to come back downstairs with Phoenix.

At The Metro Court

"So, are you doing okay? I wanted to check on you when you were here yesterday but I wanted to give you your space with Spence and the girls." Nelle said and Emily nodded. 

"Thanks, I'm doing okay, it's Joss that I'm worried about." Emily said as she served another customer their drink at the bar. "I know, but not only does she have you and your brother's and the girls and Toby, she also has me, and of course Oscar, Cameron and Trina go talk to, if she needs to." Nelle said and Emily nodded. "I know, she's at school right now and Oscar promised me that he'd keep an eye on her, and I know that he will." Emily said and Nelle nodded. "Yeah I know that too, I'm so glad that she still has him." She said. "Yeah me too." Emily said. "And like you said, with all of us combined Joss has a great support system, we'll all get through this together, which is also exactly what I told your mom when I told her that I would take care of all of her duties for today so that she doesn't have to come in at all." Nelle said. "You really are the best assistant that she ever could've asked for, and I'm glad that we've all grown so close over the years, you definitely feel like a part of our family, don't ever doubt that." Emily said smiling softly at her. "Aww, thanks Em. I'm happy to do anything to help." Nelle said as she smiled back at her.
