Chapter Fifty Eight

Very early the next morning

At Spoby's house

In their bedroom

Spencer was sleeping soundly when she suddenly realized that she no longer felt her husband's strong arms around her that make her feel safe and she mentally started to freak out, what if he was taken away from her again? She forced her eyes open and looked around the room and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Toby sitting at the edge of the bed looking down at the floor.

“Tobes? What're you doing up?” She asked gently. “I couldn't sleep, but I didn't leave the room because I didn't want to scare you.” He replied, not turning around to look at her. “Why didn't you wake me?” She asked with concern in her voice. “You need to rest.” He said still not looking at her and she sighed softly before sitting up and she crawled over to him and wrapped her arms around him from behind and buried her head in the crook of his neck. “I don't ever want you to think that you can't come to me, we're a team Tobes and you always help me when I can't sleep and now I want to help you through this okay I'm right here.” She said softly. “I love you.” Toby whispered and she kissed his neck gently. “I love you too
Tobes.” Spencer said before kissing his cheek. “Do you want to talk about it?” She asked gently and he shook his head. “No not really.” Toby said. “I'm right here okay? I'm not going anywhere.” She said and he nodded but he still wasn't making eye contact with her. “I’m just worried about Ruby.” He said sighing. “Tobes she can't hurt you anymore, I'm going to make sure of
that.” Spencer said calmly and then he finally turned to look at her. “It's not just me that I'm worried about I'm worried about you and the baby.” Toby said frowning.
“Hey I'm safe, our baby is safe, and you're safe and I'm not going to let Ruby hurt us anymore okay?” Spencer said and Toby nodded.

“Okay, do you want to try and go back to sleep?” Spencer said and Toby shook his head. “I don't think I can go back to sleep right now.” He said. “Okay, then let me help you.” Spencer said. “Spence you need to get some more sleep, I'll be fine I promise.” Toby said but Spencer wasn't going to back down from this. “No, I can't sleep knowing that you're suffering like this, please let me help you.” She said gently and he eventually nodded and Spencer gave him a small smile.

“You know I think I know exactly what you need.” She said before gently kissing his neck and then she put her hands on his shoulders and started to massage him gently.

“How’s this?” Spencer whispered softly in his ear as she continued to massage his shoulders. “It’s perfect babe, you don't know how much I needed this.” Toby said and Spencer gently kissed his neck. “Oh I'm pretty sure I do, I just wish that there was more I could do.” Spencer said. “Spence
this is more than enough, just to be safe and home with you and our little one I've spent the last six weeks craving for your touch again.” Toby said and Spencer kissed his cheek softly. “Well you don't have to crave it anymore because I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere.” She said and he nodded.

“I really missed you.” He said before turning around to look at her. “I really missed you too Tobes.” Spencer said before wrapping her arms around him and kissing him passionately and Toby gently lifted her up and put her in his lap and wrapped his arms around her protectively. “I love you so much.” Toby said before kissing her neck.
“I love you too babe, and I promise I'm not going to let anyone hurt you again.” Spencer said before kissing him passionately.

A few hours later

At Jason and Sam's penthouse

Jason and Sam were cuddling on their couch watching Danny play with his toys.

“It's good to have our kids back home.” Sam said and Jason nodded. “Me too.” He said.

“And it's good to have Toby back too.” Sam said. “Yeah it's good to have him back home where he belongs.” Jason said. “It's been so hard watching our daughter struggle so much these past six weeks, but now that she has her safe place to land back she's finally whole again.” Sam said and Jason nodded. “Yeah it was a nice moment seeing her face light up when Toby walked through the door.” He said and Sam smiled. “Yeah it was, I'm just so glad he's alright, I don't even want to think about what would've happened if you and Chase didn't get there in time.” Sam said. “Me either, but it didn't, we got there in time and Toby is home safe and sound.” Jason said. “Now our family is whole again.” Sam said and Jason nodded. “And I'm going to make sure that Valentin pays for taking our son from us and that we find Ruby and make her pay too.” Jason said.
