Chapter Eighty Three

A Week Later

At Spoby's House

Toby had just finished taking a shower and he got dressed and went downstairs and saw Spencer sitting on the couch typing away on her laptop.

“Hey you.” He said smiling at her and she looked up at him and smiled. “Hey.” Spencer said happily and Toby talked over to her. “I'm surprised you're still here, I thought you were meeting your Mom for work?” He said before kissing her forehead. “Yeah I am, but I had another background check to run here and I wanted to see you again before you left for work.” Spencer said. “Well I'm glad you did.” Toby said smiling at her. “Me too.” Spencer said smiling back at him. “Promise me that you won't overwork yourself?” He said and she nodded. “I promise.” Spencer said. “Good.” Toby said before sitting next to her. “Because I wouldn't want anything happening to you and our Daughter.” He said. “I know, and it won't I promise.” Spencer said and he nodded. “I know, you're great at your job, just call me if something happens.” Toby said and Spencer grabbed his hand. “Nothing is going to happen, but I will call you if I need anything, or if I just need to hear your voice.” She said smiling softly and he smiled back and kissed her forehead again. “You know that you can always call me if you just need to hear my voice.” He said and she nodded. “I know, and that's one of the many things that I love about you.” she said and he smiles. “I'll text you when I get to work safely.” Toby said and Spencer nodded. “Okay good, and I know that things have gone back to normal but it's just that we've been through so much and especially after the last time I almost lost you I just want to know that you're safe.” Spencer said and Toby stroked her cheek gently. “That's understandable Spence you don't need to explain yourself, but everything is okay, I am alive and I'm safe.” He said and she nodded. “I know, and I love you.” She said.

“I love you more than anything in this world Spencer Jill Morgan Cavanaugh.” Toby said before kissing her lips softly and she smiled into the kiss and kissed him back passionately.

“How about we meet at The Metro Court later.” Toby said and Spencer nodded. “Yeah that sounds perfect.” She said smiling at him.

“Okay great, I'll see you later. I love you.” Toby said as he cupped her face in his hands gently.

“I love you too.” Spencer said smiling softly and then Toby kissed her and then he kissed her stomach and Spencer smiled. “Marion loves you too Tobes.” She said. “And I love both of you very much.” He said before kissing her forehead again and then he walked over to Maggie who was chewing on one of her toys and he petted her fur gently. “I'll see you later Maggs.” He said before walking back over to Spencer and giving her another kiss before walking to the door and grabbing his leather jacket and he smiled at her. “I'll be fine I promise, I'll see you later at The Metro Court.” Toby said and Spencer nodded. “I'll see you later, be safe and I love you.” She said. “I love you more.” Toby said smiling at her before leaving the house and closing the door behind him and he got in his truck and Spencer heard him pull out of the driveway and then she went back to work on her laptop.

At Nathan and Maxie's Apartment

“I couldn't be happier that you took the day off from work.” Maxie said. “Me too, and with Georgie at school and Meghan's with Hanna and Caleb, we can enjoy our Anniversary together.” Nathan said smiling and Maxie smiled back. “Yes we can, we're completely alone.” Maxie said smirking at him and he smirked back before leaning in to kiss her passionately and he wrapped his arms around her and she wrapped his arms around him and kissed him back passionately. “I love you so much.” Nathan said and Maxie smiled. “I love you too.” She said happily before kissing him again and they kept making out on the couch.
