A Few Weeks Later

At GH

Toby got off the elevator and went to the nurse's station where Elizabeth was working on one of the computers, she looked up at him with a warm smile.

"Hi Toby, what can I do for you?" She asked him. "Hi Elizabeth, I'm here to pick up a prescription for Spence." Toby said. "Oh yeah that's right, pills for her headache right?" Elizabeth asked and Toby nodded. "Hang on a sec, I'll get them for you." Elizabeth said. "Thanks, hey is Aria working today?" Toby asked. "Not until later this evening, right now she and Cam are with Jake and Aiden." Elizabeth said. "School shopping?" Toby asked and Elizabeth nodded. "Yeah, Aria volunteered to help Cam take the boys since Lucky and I had to work." Elizabeth said and Toby nodded.

"Here's the pills for Spence, tell her I hope she feels better." Elizabeth said as she handed Toby a small paper bag containing the pills. "Thanks Elizabeth, and I will, It's just with the weather changing and everything I think." Toby said. "I think we've all been there at some point." Elizabeth said. "Yeah, tell Aria I said hi when you see her?" Toby asked. "Yeah of course, bye Toby." Elizabeth said. "Bye Elizabeth, tanks again." Toby said and Liz nodded and Toby made his way back over to the elevator, only to be stopped by the person who just got off the elevator, he turned around to try and pretend that he didn't see him, but that didn't work in his favor at all.

"Hello Son." Toby sighed and turned around.

"What're you doing here?" He asked him. "Oh you know I was just in the neighborhood and I saw your truck outside, what're you doing here?" Daniel asked him. "Not that it's any of your business, but I came to pick up a prescription for my wife." Toby said calmly. "I see, well that's none of my business but I was just curious." Daniel said. "You're right, it is none of your business." Toby said. "I was hoping we could talk." Daniel said but Toby shook his head. "As I told you before I have absolutely nothing to say to you." He said.

"Toby-" Daniel started but Toby cut him off.

"No, don't. Stop trying to make this conversation happen, because it's not going to happen, I do not need you." Toby said sternly.

"So you keep saying." Daniel said. "Why don't you go back to that hooker wife of yours and leave me alone, I was doing just fine until you showed up." Toby said. "You want me out of town that bad huh?" Daniel asked. "If it wasn't clear to you then it should be now, you need to leave." Toby said. "What if I told you that I wanted to meet my granddaughter?" Daniel asked and Toby had to restrain himself from wanting to punch him right there. "You stay away from my daughter, do you understand me? I do not need you and she certainly doesn't either, we're doing just fine." He said. "Whatever helps you sleep at night Son." Daniel said and Toby scoffed. "Stop it already, stop calling me that because if I actually mattered that much to you you never would've walked out on me, and if my happiness really mattered that much to you you wouldn't have told me to stay away from Spencer! Now if you'll excuse me I need to get home to her and our daughter, and if you know what's good for you you'll get on the next flight out of Port Charles, and don't bother ever coming back." Toby said before brushing past him and getting on the elevator and he sighed deeply, he wishes he could just stop letting the man get to him, but that's easier said than done, right now he just wants to get home to Spencer and Marion, and Maggie of course.

At Lulu and Dante's House

"As much as I love my parents and siblings, let me just say I'm happy that we have the house to ourselves for a few hours until they get back from back to school shopping." Alison said as she rested her head in Chase's chest, they were sitting on the couch together, he nodded.

"Yeah I can completely agree with that." He said smiling softly at her.  "You're not working until this evening right?" She asked. "That's right." Chase said. "Okay good." She said. "Do you have the night off from the hospital?" Chase asked her. "Yeah actually I do." Ali said. "Well I'm sorry that I can't spend the night here with you." Chase said. "It's okay, you need to work and I understand that, I'll find a way to entertain my, I'll probably see if Hanna wants to meet for dinner or something." Ali said. "I think that's a good idea." Chase said. "Yeah, promise me that you will be careful." Ali said. "Ali you know that I'm always careful." Chase said looking at her. "I know that, but still it's nice to hear you say it." Ali said looking up at him and he stroked her cheek gently. I know, I just wish that you didn't worry so much." Chase said. "I know, but it comes with the territory of dating a cop, and I've had to deal with the same thing with my Dad, the worrying part." Ali said and Chase nodded in understanding. "I get that, but I am going to be fine, I promise, you trust me don't you?" He asked her and she nodded.
"Of course." She said. "Good, because I'm going to be fine, now what do you say we watch a movie or something?" He asked. "Yeah that sounds good." Ali said smiling before laying her head back down into Chase's chest and he kissed her forehead gently.
