Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Four

A Few Days Later

At Jason and Sam's Penthouse

"I was hoping that she would be here by now." Sam said as she rubbed her stomach and Jason, who was sitting next to her on the couch, grabbed her other hand comfortingly.

"I know, but she'll come when she's ready." He said before gently running his other hand through her hair trying to comfort her and she smiled softly at him. "I know, I'm just really excited to meet her." She said. "Me too, you know you're only one day past your due date and that's not out of the ordinary for that to happen." Jason said. "I know that, but I really just want to meet her already." Sam said. "I know, me too." Jason said as he put his hand on top of hers on her stomach and Sam smiled softly at him. "Well, there has to be something else I can try, one of the things from the list that Dr. Lee gave us." She said and Jason nodded. "Okay, what did you want to try?" He asked her curiously. "I don't know, maybe we should try going on a little walk or something." Sam said and Jason nodded. "Okay yeah if that's what you want to do we can do that." He said. "Good." Sam said smiling softly at him before wincing a little. "You okay?" Jason asked with concern in his voice. "Yeah, yeah I'm okay, Phoenix just kicked me pretty hard." Sam said smiling softly at him. "You sure that's all it was?" Jason asked her. "Yeah, we're fine Jason, I promise." Sam said before standing up from the couch and Jason stood up with her. "Okay, so I guess we can try to take that walk now if you want." Jason said and Sam nodded. "Yeah I think now would be good." She said and they started to walk towards the door, but before they could reach it Sam bent down and her hand clutched into the coffee table for support and she put her other hand on her stomach. "Sam!" Jason said with worry in his voice as he rushed to her side and see reached for his hand and squeezed it tightly.

"I-I t-think Phoenix is ready to meet us because my water just broke." Sam said smiling softly at him before another contraction hit and she tried to breathe through it and she squeezed Jason's hand again. "It's going to be okay, I'll get you to GH." Jason said comfortingly and she nodded. "E-everything's going to be okay, r-right?" She asked and Jason nodded. "Yeah, everything is going to be okay." He said comfortingly before stroking her hair. "I love you." She breathed before gasping in pain of another contraction. "I love you too, and we're going to have our new baby girl soon." Jason said smiling softly at her and Sam smiled back at him before squeezing his hand again.

At Spoby's House

Spencer was sitting on the couch with her phone in her hands when Toby came down the stairs and made his way over to her.

"I guess you still haven't heard anything from your dad?" He asked her as he sat down next to her. "No, I guess that Phoenix is still taking her precious time deciding when she wants to make her grand entrance into the world." Spencer said looking at him. "Well she'll come when she's ready, don't worry." Toby said and Spencer nodded. "Yeah I know, I guess I'm just really excited about becoming a big sister again." She said smiling. "Of course I understand that, but are you sure that's all it is?" Toby asked and she nodded. "Yeah I'm sure." She said and while he wasn't one hundred percent sure about that he dropped the subject, he didn't want to push her or anything. "Okay, I just want you to know that I'm here." He said and Spencer nodded. "I love knowing that." She said smiling softly at him and he grabbed her hand comfortingly. "So how's our little princess?" Spencer asked him.

"She's good, I was finally able to talk her into taking a nap." Toby said smiling softly at her. "Good, you know that you're a great Daddy." She said. "Yeah you've told me that once or twice." Toby said and they both laughed. "Well that's just because it's true." Spencer said and before either of them could say anything else, Spencer's cell phone started ringing and she picked it up off the coffee table and looked at the caller ID. "It's my dad." She said looking at Toby. "Go ahead, answer it, it's probably about your mom." He said and Spencer nodded before answering the phone and putting it up to her ear.
