Chapter Ninety Three

A Few Days Later

At Chase's Apartment

Chase was lying in bed watching Ali who was sleeping peacefully with her head on his chest and he was happy that she was actually getting some sleep, the last few days have been pretty long and exhausting and all he wants to do now is make sure that his girlfriend is safe and protected and far away from Stavros as possible.

A little bit more time passed before Ali started to stir and then she opened her eyes and smiled softly at Chase and he smiled back.

“Good morning.” Ali said happily. “Good morning.” Chase said smiling at her before kissing her forehead. “I definitely never get tired of waking up like this, in your arms.” Ali said. “Good because me earlier.” Chase said.

“I really do appreciate you letting me stay here, with everything going on.” Ali said. “Hey I already told you that you don't need to thank me, just try not to worry about he who shall not be named, you let me take care of it.” Chase said. “I know you can handle yourself so don't think that I'm questioning that because I'm not, but what I am questioning is what I'm going to do if you get hurt while trying to protect me.” Ali said before looking down and Chase squeezed her hand comfortingly. “Ali, first of all don't worry about me, I will be fine.” He said soothingly but she was still having a hard time believing that. “You promise?” She asked and he nodded. “Absolutely.” Chase said and she smiled. “Good because I love you, a lot and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something were to happen to you while you were trying to protect me.” Ali said. “Don't worry about that, everything is going to be okay, and I love you too.” Chase said before kissing her lips softly and Ali smiled into the kiss and kissed him back passionately and they kissed until they had to break apart for air and they smiled at each other. “Okay, as much as I would love to continue this, I need to go make us some breakfast, you stay here and try and get some more rest and then I'll come and get you when breakfast is ready.” Chase said and Ali nodded. “Okay yeah that sounds good.” She said and Chase kissed her forehead. “I'll be right back.” Chase said and Ali smiled to herself as she watched him leave the room.

At Spoby's House

“What're you staring at?” Spencer asked Toby curiously and he laughed softly. “Sorry I'm just looking at my gorgeous wife.” Toby said and Spencer smiled softly at him. “Well thank you, You don't have to work today right?” She asked and he shook his head. “No I'm all yours, but you're meeting Ali for lunch at Kelly's right?” He asked and she nodded. “Yeah this afternoon, but right now I'm all yours, I just have to finish this for work and then I'm officially on maternity leave.” Spencer said. “I know that you are going to miss working for awhile but you deserve this break babe, and I'll be here too.” Toby said and Spencer smiled and stroked his cheek gently with her hand. “You're right I love my job, but there's nowhere else I'd rather be than home with you and our daughter.” Spencer said and Toby smiled before kissing her forehead. “She's going to be here before we know it.” He said. “Yeah, and I couldn't be happier.” Spencer said. “Me either.” Toby said before kissing her stomach gently and Spencer smiled. “Our little Marion Lila Cavanaugh, we can't wait to meet you baby girl.” Toby said happily and Spencer was wondering how she got so lucky to get Toby as her husband and the father of their child. “You're going to be an amazing father.” Spencer said and Toby looked up at her. “And you're going to be an amazing mother.” He said. “I wouldn't be able to do any of this without you.” Spencer said. “You don't have to worry about that Spence, I'm here forever.” Toby said. “I know, and thank God because I can't live without you.” Spencer said. “Well you're stuck with me forever, I promise.” Toby said. “I wouldn't want to live this life with anyone else.” Spencer said smiling at him. “Me either.” Toby said. “Can you do me a favor?” Spencer asked him. “Anything, you know that.” Toby said. “Can you get me another cup of decaf?” Spencer asked with hope in her voice.
