Chapter One Hundred and Fifty Nine

A Few Days Later

At Spoby's House

In Their Kitchen

"Breakfast was amazing Tobes, as always." Spencer said as she smiled softly at him.

"Only the best for my girls." Toby said smiling back at her. "You know that you could've let me help though." Spencer said. "I know, but you know that I love spoiling you, plus I let you help with the dishes." Toby said and Spencer laughed. "Okay fair enough." She said as she smirked softly at him and he couldn't help but smile at her. "You know you're pretty amazing." Toby said. "I think I've been told that before." Spencer said as she blushed a little. 

"Well it's true, you are." Toby said. "Well thank you, you know that I'm very lucky to have you, I just…. Really wish that you didn't have to go to work today." Spencer said, her smile fading a little. "Yeah, but I don't have much of a choice today, I should probably get ready to leave soon." Toby said, his smile fading a little as well."No, Dada no go." Marion said from her high chair and Toby and Spencer both looked at her, Marion gave Toby a very sad look, complete with of course, puppy eyes. 

"Oh she did not just give me those eyes." Toby said and Spencer laughed. "Well she got them from you." She said smiling softly at him. "Seriously though how am I supposed to leave that face?" Toby said as he pointed at Marion who was still looking at him with her dad puppy eyes, begging him not to leave. "I don't know, or maybe you could take the day off?" Spencer said before giving him her puppy eyes, Toby playfully rolled his eyes. "Oh come on Spence, not you too." He said and Spencer pouted a little. "I know, I know. You have to go." She said. "You know that I would stay if I could, but my boss really needs my plans for this house we're going to work on, he needs them today." Toby said. "I know, but I had to try." Spencer said as she smiled softly at him. "Oh I know." Toby said smiling back at her. "But I don't know if our little princess is going to be that understanding." Spencer said and Toby sighed softly. "Yeah, give me a second." He said before kissing her forehead gently and then walking over to Marion, he lifted her out of the high chair and into his arms, Marion got excited and gently wrapped her arms around his neck, Spencer smiled softly as she watched them.

"Okay baby girl, Daddy has to go to work, now you'll have Mommy, and Maggs here with you, and Daddy will be back before you know it. So you be good for Mommy okay?" Toby said and Marion nodded before stroking his cheek with her tiny hand. "Okay Dada." She said and Toby smiled at her. "That's my girl." He said before kissing her forehead. "We'll miss you, obviously, but we know that you'll be back." Spencer said as she walked over to him and he smiled softly at her. "I'll always come back to you, no matter what." He said before kissing her lips softly, Spencer smiled into the kiss and kissed him back as Marion watched them, when they broke apart for air, they rested their foreheads against each other's. "Okay, I know that you have to go…" Spencer said, Toby nodded sadly. "Yeah, but I'll be back soon. I love you so much." He said. "I wanted to say that first." Spencer said as she smiled at him, he kissed her one more time before kissing Marion's forehead. "Okay princess, you go to Mommy now, I'll be back soon. Daddy loves you." He said before kissing her forehead again, Marion responded by kissing his cheek softly and he smiled at her before handing her to Spencer, who smiled softly at him before following him to the living room, Maggie followed as well. "I'll see you in a little bit Maggs." Toby said as he kneeled down to pet her head, Maggie barked happily. "We'll see you soon." Spencer said and Marion waved at him, he smiled softly at them before walking back over to Spencer, he kissed her and then kissed Marion's forehead before heading to the door.

"We love you." Spencer said as she smiled softly at him. "I love you more." Toby said smiling back at her, he blew a kiss to them and Marion waved at him, Toby smiled and said that he loved them and he would be back soon one more time before walking out the door, as soon as the door shut Spencer looked at Marion who was obviously upset that her daddy left. "It's okay baby girl, you know Daddy always comes back, he'll be back soon, I promise." She said as she smiled softly at her daughter and tried to cheer her up.
