The Next Morning

At Spoby's House

In Their Bedroom

Spencer and Toby were laying in bed, Spencer was still sleeping and Toby was smiling softly to himself as he watched her. A few minutes later, she started to wake up, she opened her eyes and then she smiled up at him. "Hi." Toby said as he smiled softly at her. "Hi." Spencer said, smiling back at him.

"Did you sleep well?" Toby asked her. "I did. I hope you did, too." Spencer said. "I'm glad, and I did too." Toby said. "Good. Last night was pretty perfect." Spencer said. "Yes, it was. You know you were right, we needed it." Toby said. "Yeah, we did. It felt great to be back there with you, and playing pool again. I wouldn't trade this for anything." Spencer said. "Me either." Toby said as he smiled softly at her, he then ran his hand through her hair, stroking it gently.

"I seriously do not want to get out of this bed." Spencer said as she cuddled into him even more than she already was. "Well then we don't have to. We can just stay right here." Toby said as he kissed the top of her head and she smiled softly at him. "I mean, eventually we are going to have to get up because as much as I'd love to just stay here with you forever, people are gonna miss us. Plus we have to parent our daughter." Toby said and Spencer laughed softly. "I know, I know. But still. I just... I just love getting to soak up this alone time with you." She said as she reached her hand up to stroke his cheek. "I know, me too. But you know that we're going to have to decide on when we have to get up." Toby said. "Okay. How about at least another hour?" Spencer said as she looked up at him with her puppy eyes. "Oh come on, you know that I can't resist your puppy eyes." Toby said as Spencer laughed. "That was the point." She said, smiling at him. "Yeah, I know." Toby said as he smiled softly at her. "So, one more hour...?" Spencer asked him. "Yeah. Just one more hour." Toby said and Spencer smiled at him with relief on her face and then she lifted her head up to kiss him passionately and he kissed her back, and then she laid her head back down on his chest. "Thank you, for everything. Especially for being the best husband and father." She said as she ran her hand through his hair, smiling softly at him. "You know that you don't have to thank me for anything. But you're welcome." Toby said. "I seriously don't know what we'd do without you." Spencer said. "You don't have to worry about that, you're stuck with me, Spence." Toby said. "I know." Spencer said, smiling softly.

"So, is there anything special you want to do today?" Toby asked her. "I'm not sure yet. Right now, I just want to focus on this moment right here." Spencer said as she smiled up at him.

"We can do that." Toby said as he smiled softly at her before he leaned in to kiss her lips softly and she smiled into the kiss and happily kissed him back. After they broke apart for air, they rested their foreheads against each other for a few seconds. Spencer then laid her head back on his chest and he smiled softly to himself as he stroked her hair gently.

At Jason and Sam's Penthouse

"There she is. My beautiful wife." Jason said as he smiled softly at Sam who was making her way down the stairs. "Good morning. You know that you totally did not have to go all out with breakfast this morning." Sam said as she walked over to the table where he was standing, he had made a little breakfast setup that included pancakes that was all spread out on the table.

"I wanted to. You know that I love spoiling you." Jason said as he smiled softly at her, she laughed. "I do know that, yeah. But seriously, thank you. For all of this." Sam said as she smiled softly at him. "You're very welcome." Jason said, smiling back at her as he sat down at the table. "So, we have some more alone time left before we have to go pick up the kids, and then Brooklyn will be back later, too." Sam said as she sat down at the table, across from him. "Yes, we do. We have the place to ourselves for a little while longer." Jason said as he smiled softly at her. "And how would you like to spend the rest of our alone time?" Sam asked him. "Well, that's what I was going to ask you." Jason said, Sam laughed softly. "I'm sure I can think of something." She said. "I'm sure you can." Jason said as he smiled softly at her. "But first... Pancakes." Sam said as she laughed softly. "Yeah, it's probably a good idea that we get some breakfast first." Jason said. "Seriously though, I feel like I have to thank you again. And, not just for this wonderful breakfast. But for being the amazing man that you are. You are an incredible husband and such a great father to our wonderful kids. I truly don't know what we'd ever do without you...." Sam said as she looked down for a second, then she turned her attention back to putting some pancakes on her plate before she looked back up at him.
