Chapter Eighteen

A few days later

At GH

Spencer is finally getting released from the hospital tomorrow and she is very excited to finally go home with Toby, they are currently lying together in Spencer's hospital bed.

"I don't even know why I'm asking you this because I already know the answer, but are you excited to finally be released tomorrow?"

Toby asked Spencer as he played with her hair. "Excited is an understatement Tobes." Spencer said and Toby laughed a little and smiled. "And that's exactly what I thought you'd say." And Spencer Smiled at him and he kissed the top of her head. "I love you, you know that right?" He asked and she nodded. "Mmm hmm. And I love you Tobes." She said before kissing him passionately and Toby happily kissed her back.

A few minutes later after their little make out session was over, Jason came into the room.

"Dad!" Spencer said happily as Jason walked over and gently hugged her.
"I've missed you Spence, I'm so sorry I haven't visited you much-" "Dad don't you dare apologize for trying to find Jerry to protect me okay?" Spencer said and Jason nodded. "Toby I want to thank you again for staying here with her and taking care of her." Jason said and Toby smiled and then looked back over at Spencer and smiled and then he looked back at Jason and said "Jason there's nowhere else I'd rather be right now, well a little part of me wants to be hunting down Jerry right now but my place is here, with Spencer." He said before kissing the top of Spencer's head again and Spencer smiled. "So you still don't have any ideas as to where Jerry is hiding?" Spencer asked and Jason shook his head. "No but don't you worry okay it okay Spence I'll take care of him he can't hurt you anymore alright?" He said and she nodded. "Jason could I talk to you outside for a moment?" Toby asked and Jason nodded and then Toby looked back to Spencer and she nodded telling him it was okay to step out for a second. "I'll be right back okay? We'll just be right outside baby girl." He said kissing her and she kissed him back and then Toby gently got off the bed and walked outside of the room with Jason following behind him.

Right outside Spencer's hospital room

"So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about Toby?" Jason asked. "I need to ask you something, you know that I want nothing more than to keep Spence safe right?" He asked and Jason nodded. "I would like to take her out of town for awhile, just until Jerry is found and then I'll bring her home." Toby said and Jason thought for a few minutes before speaking again. "Toby I know you just want to protect Spence but are you sure about this? I'm just saying Jerry could be anywhere right now and maybe staying here is the safer option." Jason said. "Jason with all due respect I think going away for awhile would be best for Spencer because these past few days she's been nothing but stressed out and worrying about where Jerry is and I just want to get her mind off it and keep her safe, go somewhere where Jerry wouldn't be able to find us." Toby said and Jason sighed, he feels terrible he hasn't really been around much for Spencer the past few days but he's been trying to find Jerry and make him pay for shooting her which is the best thing he can do right now and he knows that Toby would never let anything happen to her, so he said "Where exactly are you thinking of taking her?" Toby gave a small smile and said "Well I was trying to think of all of your private islands and stuff, and I was thinking about the safe house in Hawaii." "Okay, I trust you more than anyone else to keep her safe and you're right she does need this time away, so yes you can take her to my safe house in Hawaii." Jason said and Toby smiled. "Thank you Jason, I promise I will take care of her." "I know you will, now how do you think she's going to react to this?" Jason asked. "I think she'll like the idea, hopefully but knowing Spence she'll probably be a little hesitant like you were since Jerry's still running around but that's why this is the perfect time to go and try to get her mind off things so she can properly heal and the safe house is our best option that Jerry won't find us but I will always protect her you know that." Toby said and Jason nodded. "Okay I'll let you get back in there I'm sure she misses you already." Jason said and Toby laughed. "Yeah I'm sure she does as much as I miss her right now, and I'll let you go back to your search for Jerry." Toby said and Jason nodded. "I will find him Toby I can promise you that." Jason said and Toby nodded and then Jason left the hospital and Toby walked back into Spencer's room.
