The Next Day

At Kiki and Griffin's Apartment

Kiki was still sound asleep, but that didn't last much longer when she reached her hand out for Griffin, but she could feel that he wasn't in their bed any more. A little confused, she opened her eyes and then she got out of bed and she walked out into the living room to look for her boyfriend, and when she got to the kitchen, there he was, making breakfast.

"There you are." Kiki said and he turned around.

"Oh, hey you. Good morning." Griffin said as he smiled softly at her. "Good morning. I was wondering where you went." Kiki said as she walked over to him. "Yeah, I was hoping that you'd still be sleeping until I was done, which obviously failed." Griffin said. "Yeah, well I eventually realized you were no longer in bed and I woke up and came to look for you... What exactly are you doing?" Kiki asked. "I mean, this is a pretty important day for you, finally graduating from nursing school, so I wanted to do something extra special for you. I figured it'd be perfect to start with breakfast." Griffin said. "Well, you can never go wrong with pancakes. Thank you." Kiki said as she smiled softly at him. "Anything for my amazing, hardworking girlfriend." Griffin said, smiling back at her. "Well I really appreciate this." Kiki said, blushing a little. "Like I just said, anything for you. Also, there's something else I should probably tell you." Griffin said, Kiki looked at him curiously. "Okay, what did you do?" She asked him. "I may or may not have arranged a little party for you tonight, at The Floating Rib." Griffin said, hoping she'd be excited. "You arranged a party... for me...?" Kiki said as she looked at him, surprised. "Yes, because you deserve it." Griffin said. "Wow. I seriously don't know what to say." Kiki said. "Everyone who loves and cares about you just wants to celebrate you. Myself is at the top of that list." Griffin said as he smiled at her. "I don't know what to say... except for thank you. Best boyfriend ever." Kiki said before she leaned in to kiss him, she also wrapped her arms around him. Griffin smiled into the kiss, kissing her back. After they broke apart for air, Kiki finished helping Griffin make their breakfast.

At Spoby's House

Spencer and Toby were in their living room, Marion was playing in her ball pit on the floor and Toby was on the floor next to it, Spencer was sitting on the couch on her laptop, working, and Maggie was lying on the floor by her feet.

"You know I could never get tired of watching you work." Toby said as he smiled softly at her, she looked over at him. "Oh, I know. I'm just glad I was able to take some extra time here this morning before I have to go meet my mom to go over this specific case." Spencer said as she smiled back at him before turning her attention back to her laptop.

"Dada, ball!" Marion said happily as she held up a blue ball from her ball pit, he smiled softly at her. "What is it, baby girl? You want me to catch it?" He asked her, she nodded. "Okay, go ahead. Throw it to me." Toby said and Marion happily threw the ball to him and he caught it in his hands. "That was a great throw, Princess." He said, smiling at her and Spencer couldn't help but smile softly to herself as she watched them. "I just love watching you two play together." Spencer said. "I could never get tired of playing with her." Toby said, Marion laughed. "Yes, you're pretty special." Toby said as he smiled softly at her before looking back over to Spencer. "Your daddy's not wrong about that." Spencer said, smiling. "So, about this case, is there a level of worried I should be?" Toby asked her. "This one is not too dangerous, don't worry." Spencer said. "Okay, good... I hope you don't think I'm being too overprotective. You know that I know that you know what you're doing. It's just hard sometimes, my mind still wanders." Toby said. "Never, you know I think it's cute when you worry about me." Spencer said. "And that's great because I'm never going to stop." Toby said. "And I wouldn't want it any other way." Spencer said, smiling softly at him.
