Chapter Five

The next day

At Jason and Sam's penthouse

Spencer and Toby were in the living room on the couch cuddling and Danny was over at the kitchen table coloring and Emily was upstairs.

“Do you know what time your parents are coming back?” Toby asked. “No clue.” Spencer replied. “Well it seems like we have some time then.” Toby said kissing her but she pled away “Tobes Danny is right over there.” She pointed over in the corner. “And he's not even paying any attention Spence he's busy coloring.” Toby said kissing her again and she gave in kissing him back.

A little while later they were just relaxing on the couch when Jason and Sam walked in.

“Hey you two.” Sam said smiling at them.
“Hi, how was your night?” Spencer asked smirking at them. “It was great.” Jason said smiling at Sam. “How were the kids?” Sam asked. “They were great.” Toby said.
“Well I'm glad to hear that, thanks again for watching them.” Sam said. “Of course, it was really no problem we enjoyed it.” Spencer said smiling at Toby and he kissed her. Just then, Jason’s cell phone started ringing.

“Who is it?” Sam asked. “Sonny.” Jason replied answering it. “Sonny what's up?” “What? I'll be right there.” Jason sighed putting his phone back in his pocket. “Jase what is it?” Sam asked with concern. “Sonny just told me that our shipment that was delivered last night got hijacked.” “What!?” Spencer and Sam said in unison. “Yeah I gotta get to the warehouse.” Jason said leaning down to kiss Sam. “Be careful.”. Sam said. “Always am.” Jason replied.
“Stay safe okay Dad?” Spencer said and Jason nodded. “Of course.” Jason replied. “Hey Toby?” Jason asked. “Yeah?” Toby replied. “Look after Spencer okay?” Jason asked. Toby look down at Spencer “Always.” And she smiled up at him. “Okay I need to get going, Sam can you give Emily a kiss for me?” Jason asked. “Yes of course.” Sam replied before kissing him again. “I love
you.” She said. “I love you too Mrs.
Morgan.” Jason said kissing her again and then he went over to Danny at the kitchen table and kissed the top of his head. “I'll be back soon okay buddy you be good.” Jason said and Danny nodded in response. “Okay I'll be back soon as I can.” Jason said and said goodbye to everyone once again before leaving the penthouse.

“Okay there is only one person that could've possibly done this.” Sam said. “Julian.” Spencer, Toby, and Sam all said at the same time. “Okay that's it I have to do something.” Spencer said as she headed toward the door when she felt someone gently grab her wrist holding her back, Toby. “I'm not letting you go anywhere near him Spencer “ Toby said. “”But Toby-” he shook his head “No, you're staying right here with me.” “I know you're just trying to protect me but I can handle myself.” Spencer said. “I know that and I wasn't saying otherwise but baby I'm not letting you go anywhere near Julian okay?” He pleaded and she sighed and then looked at her mom. “Spence Toby's right there is no way I'm letting you go anywhere near him either. Your father told me wheat he pulled on the Pier and I want to to stay as far away form his as possible please just let me and your father handle this.” Sam said.
“Mom-” “No Spence just listen to me on this, I will handle Julian okay? This is my fight, not yours.” Sam said and Toby pulled Spencer closer to him wrapping his arms around her. “Baby listen to your mom
please.” He pleaded kissing the top of her head. Spencer finally sighed in defeat and hugged Toby back. “Fine I'll stay out of it.”
She said and Toby breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, I just couldn't bare the thought of- of something happening to you, I mean we've been through so much and you've had a couple of close calls due to the mob but I want to you to know that I will always be here to protect you Spence.” Toby said. Spencer looked up at him “Tobes.” She gently grabbed his face with her hands looking deep into his eyes. “You're never going to lose me okay, I promise.” She said and Toby nodded. “I know that it's just- it's just that I love you and I want you to stay safe okay?” He said. “I promise I will, and I love you too my little goofball.” She said and they laughed and she kissed him passionately and Sam smiled watching them. Spencer then pulled out her phone and texted Ali to meet her somewhere and waited for her response before looking back up at Toby “Okay but seriously I do have to go meet Ali, that's okay right?” She teased him. “Yes you can go meet Ali,  just be safe okay?” He asked. “I always am.” She pelied and kissed him again and she then turned to Sam “Hey mom can you keep an eye on our current case list? And let me know if you get us any new clients.” Sam nodded “Of course Spence.” Spencer smiled at her mom and then turned back to Toby “I'll be back soon okay?” and he nodded and she kissed him again and then walked over and said goodbye to Danny and then she left to go meet Alison.
