Chapter Seven

The Next Day

At Jason and Sam's penthouse

Spencer and Toby were sitting on the couch in the living room and Spencer was reading the newspaper on her tablet.
“Spence you've read the article ten times now.” Toby teased. “I know I'm just making sure it's really real and that I didn't dream last night.” Spencer replied glancing back at the article about Julian's arrest. Toby took the tablet from her and put it on the coffee table and he gently cupped her face with his hands. “I promise you Spence it's real he can't hurt you anymore baby girl.” He said before kissing her. “You're my hero Tobias Cavanaugh.” Spencer said smiling at him before kissing him back.

They were then of course unfortunately interrupted by Spencer's cell phone ringing.

“You don't have to answer it you know, we can just keep. Doing. This.” Toby said kissing her again and Spencer reluctantly pulled away and sighed. “As much as I would love to do that I have to answer it Tobes it could be a client.”  She said and Toby sighed and nodded. “Okay you can answer it, but we will continue this later.” He said and she smiled “I promise.” She kissed him and then looked at the caller ID on her cell phone, it was Nelle. (YAY IM FINALLY INCLUDING NELLE lol I was trying to figure out when/how to add her in haha. As you fellow GHers know Nelle is a sneaky little one who right now is trying to get revenge on Carly, and as much as I LOVE how my Chloe plays the evil side of Nelle I am not doing that here lol I want her to be close with the girls and as she was before on the show, she is Carly's assistant.)

“Hey Nelle what's up?”

“Hey Spence, would you mind meeting me at Kelly's in a half hour? I could really use your help.”

“Yeah sure. See you then.”

“Thanks Spence, see you soon.”

“No problem, bye Nelle.”

“Bye Spence.”

“So I have to go meet Nelle at Kelly's in a half hour, but I'll try to be back soon okay?” She said standing up from the couch and leaning down to kiss the top of his head.
“It's okay Spence, do you what you need to do, I will probably go work on our house while you're gone.” Toby said standing up and wrapping his arms around her and kissing her. “Mmmm I love you, you know that right?” She smiled at him. “Yeah, yeah I do, and I love you so much more.” Toby said before kissing her again and she kissed him back and then left for Kelly's to meet Nelle.

At Kelly's

Spencer walked in and saw Nelle sitting at a table waiting for her so she went over to her.

“Hey.” She said smiling at her as she sat down. “Hey Spence, thanks for coming.” Nelle said smiling back. “Yeah of course, so what's up? What do you need my help with?” Spencer asked curiously. “Okay so I'm sure you probably remember when someone leaked that I might've killed my husband Zack in that boating accident, well I want you to use your PI skills and help me prove I didn't do it.” Nelle said.  (I'm still mad they kinda dropped this on the show and they may bring it back up idk yet but I'm doing it my own way here lol.) “Of course I'll do it.” Spencer smiled. “I don't know what to say……” Nelle said. “You don't have to say anything Nelle, it's what friends are for right?” Spencer said and Nelle smiled again.
“Spence I have to ask you this, do you think I killed Zack?” Nelle asked raising her eyebrow. Spencer grabbed Nelle’s hand comfortingly. “I wouldn't have agreed to help you if I thought you did.” Spencer said giving her a reassuring smile and Nelle smiled back.

At Spoby's house

“Thanks for coming to help me out today Morgan.” Toby said as they worked on the house. “No problem man, I'm happy to help.” Morgan replied. “So how are things with you two?” He asked and Toby smiled said “Things are really great, even more so that we won't have to worry about Julian anymore.” Toby said with a sigh of relief. “I'm glad to hear that, I'm really glad Spence has you Toby, and I wanted to tell you that that was an excellent plan you came up with to take down Julian.” Morgan said. “Well what can I say, I learned from my amazing PI girlfriend.” Toby smiled and so did Morgan as they continued to work.
