Chapter One Hundred and Forty Six

A Week Later

At Spoby's House

"Hey you." Toby said as he walked downstairs with Marion in his arms and he went over to the couch where Spencer was sitting as she typed on her laptop, she looked up and smiled at them. "Hey, I've been waiting for you to come down, I could use the distraction." She said before shutting her laptop and then she grabbed her mug off the coffee table and took a sip of her coffee. "You still haven't found anything on Linc?" Toby asked and she shook her head. "No, but I'm not giving up yet, I mean from what Brooklyn's told me it's so obvious that he's clearly done some shady stuff, he's just hiding it really well." She said as she set her mug back down on the coffee table. "I'm with you on that, don't stop looking." Toby said.

"I don't plan on doing that, but right now I do think that I could use a little break." Spencer said and Maggie barked happily, making her laugh. "Apparently Maggs thinks so too." She said and Toby laughed. "Well I can't argue with that, what do you say we have a little pool day in the backyard?" He asked her. "I think that sounds perfect, what do you think about that princess?" Spencer said and Marion gave a small squeal of excitement and Toby laughed. "I think she's on board." He said before kissing her forehead and Spencer smiled softly at them. "What about you Maggs?" Spencer asked and Maggie barked happily and Spencer and Toby laughed. "She's ready." He said smiling. "Yup, and so am I." She said smiling at him before leaning in to kiss him and Toby smiled into the kiss and kissed her back.

"What do you say we go get ready?" He said and Spencer nodded. "Yeah, sounds good." She said smiling softly at him and he smiled back at her and then they headed upstairs.

At Jason and Sam's Penthouse

"Good morning my girls." Jason said as he walked downstairs to Sam who was sitting on the couch holding Phoenix, she was feeding her a bottle, Sam looked up and smiled at Jason as he sat down next to them. "Good morning handsome." Sam said happily. "So, I was thinking that maybe we could take the kids to my mom's tonight so we could have a private night here to ourselves?" Jason suggested. "I say that sounds like a pretty good plan." Sam said as she smiled softly at him. "Well I'm glad that you think that, I just have to take care of a few things." Jason said and Sam nodded. "That's okay, I have some work stuff to finish up with too, after I put Phoenix down for a nap." Sam said as she smiled down at their daughter who was still happily drinking her bottle. "Okay, so I'm going to go and see my mom, and stop by Sonny's, and then later this afternoon we can drop the kids off at my mom's." Jason said and Sam nodded. "Sounds perfect." She said as she smiled softly at him. "Good, you know I never get tired of seeing you like this with our kids, you're a great Mother." Jason said as he smiled softly at her. "Well thank you, and you're a great Father." Sam said happily. "I appreciate that, I love you." Jason said. "We love you." Sam said, smiling softly at him.

At Amy and Kristina's Apartment

"So, how're things going with you and Aaron?" Amy asked Kristina, they were currently each getting ready to go to work, Amy at GH and Kristina at Perks. "Things are good, thanks for asking, he should already be at Perks right now so I'll be seeing him when I get there." Kristina said, a small smile forming on her lips. "I'm just glad that he makes you happy and you guys make a great team at Perks." Amy said. "Thanks Amy, and speaking of relationships, have you heard anything from Chet about his possible relationship with Nelle?" Kristina asked curiously and Amy laughed. "Wow nice Segway Krissy, and no I haven't, not for lack of trying though. He won't tell me anything." Amy said and Kristina laughed. "I think that he really likes Nelle, and from what I have heard from Em, Nelle likes him too. I would suggest that they are a thing." She said. "Well I guess we'll see if he brings her as his date to the Nurse's Ball." Amy said. 

"Yeah, I can't believe that it'll be coming up before too long." Kristina said, a small smile on her face. "Yeah I know, it'll be another great night." Amy said happily.
"I don't doubt that, okay now we should probably get to our jobs." Kristina said as she grabbed her purse. "Yeah you're right, I'll see you later Krissy." Amy said as she grabbed her purse and then she gave her roommate a hug and Krissy hugged her back, and then they both left the apartment.
