Balance In All [boku no hero academia]

[CH. 22]: UA Sports Festival Pt. 4

"This Minefield! A quick glance is enough to reveal the mines' locations!" PresentMic's voice echoed through the speaker. "Keep both eyes open and watch your step."

"So that's why he was being careful..." [y/n] then glanced over at Todoroki, who was not as far ahead as she expected.

She decided to use her dark side now that she has used her light side several times at the beginning of the obstacle race. Then, two dark snake-like ropes seeped out of her hips. The ropes then clung unto the trees on each opposite sides, forming a make-shift catapult. PresentMic's voice was louder than she expected, "What's this? This female Midoriya makes something out of the blue in an instant!! What a gal!"

He continues, "This reminds me of that bird game I used to play years ago... it's that game!!"

Come on now, I ain't an angry bird. [y/n] thought as she deadpans while finding her momentum to lunge herself forward.

She then pulls back, and when she think it was ready, she lifts her feet off the ground. In an instant, she was sort of levitating as she used her wings to balance her out in the wind. PresentMic spoke up again, "What a splendid innovation!! Who would have thought of this?! Expectations will grow as all Class 1-A students seemed to have advanced and are now on their way to the Minefield!!"

She glances at her back for a second, and PresentMic didn't lie about her classmates catching up. She then heard someone yelling as she hears explosions. Wait, we all know who he is anyway.

"This crap won't slow me down!!" Bakugo declares as he was a few centimeters away from [y/n], she quickly dodged in time before they collided midair. And now, Bakugo becomes the second placer of the obstacle race.

"These turn of events are my kind of jam!!" PresentMic spoke again.

Bakugo then approaches Todoroki at a quick pace, "You declared war to the wrong person!"

He then surpassed Todoroki, making him currently in the lead.

PresentMic's voice can be heard once again, "Aaaaand we have a new leader! Get excited mass media!! Y'all love this sort of turn-around!!"

[y/n] then moves her wings to close her distance between the two. Dammit... they're too fast...!

All of a sudden, they heard a loud explosion from the starting point of the Minefield. She glances back. The scene before her made her smile as she sees Izuku gets tossed high as the armor he was on leaped to a certain height and it quickly gave him a chance to take the lead off the obstacle course.

[y/n] then speeds up, but she keeps herself far from Todoroki and Bakugo, who seemed to have seized their little pushes as they try to keep Izuku at bay. "Nice one, Izu!" She internally screamed.

Now that since you're here...

Without further delay, she used the two poles at the end of the last part of the Minefield to give herself a pull in midair once more. Making her second place.

PresentMic's commentary went on as usual, "Ohoho! Look at this y'all!! Seems like the Midoriya twins are taking over the first event! Can they hold on to their lead until the end?!?!"

She then sees Izuku falling, Seems like he hasn't thought of that part...

She then calls out his name in the air, "Izu!" which made him look up to see her infamous ropes trying to flip him forward. But as he tied places with the two other boys, he used his feet to cling unto their shoulders as a leverage. He then tossed the robot's armor once more while the rope pushed him forward. When it happened, several mines blew up, sending him farther away from the three of them.
