Balance In All [boku no hero academia]

[CH. 28]: UA Sports Festival Pt. 10

[y/n] snickered at Bakugo's introduction and thought, "That was the most savage introduction I have ever heard... a face only a mother could love? Is he saying he's ugly??"

"You said earlier you came up with a counter-strategy for her against Bakugo. What is it?" Iida asks as the three of them sat down. 

[y/n] joins in, "Right, what is it?"

Izuku replied as he closes his notebook, "It's nothing special, really..."

He continues as he begins to watch Bakugo and Uraraka on the field, "...Kacchan is strong. He's got virtually no weaknesses in close-range combat. His quirk is stronger the more mobile he is. He can maneuver in midair, but if she can get him floating, she'll gain an advantage."

[y/n] then nods while looking at the two contenders in the field, "Agreed, but he has to have a weakness or some limit."

Iida asks once more, "A limit?"

[y/n] continues, "Like for example, if I use my quirk too much, I get sick like having a fever or losing control of it. Izuku's quirk is often times too strong it leaves him injured when used, and yours does not have a temperature regulator, so it heats up when used too much and you had to wait for it to cool down in order for it to be used again."

Iida then placed his chin on his fist in deep thought, "I see, but so far, looks like he still hasn't reached his, has he?"

The twins nodded as they reverted their attention back to the final round of the first matches of the tournament.

Uraraka then charged at Bakugo while going low on her sprint, "Backing down is not an option here!"

Izuku spoke up as he watched, "Even by accidentally touching him, she can send him floating, so he'll want to keep his distance!"

[y/n] adds, "I see! But for all we know, I don't think Bakugo would dodge, he'll confront her. And he usually uses his right arm first for a hook, right?" Her brother nods in agreement.

Bakugo then did a right hook as he activated his explosion quirk with his right hand, and blasted it on Uraraka in seconds right before she almost touched him.

The crowd reacted, with some swaying their heads from side to side in dismay, "That's harsh... going all out against a girl..."

"Now die," Bakugo spoke up as the smokescreen appeared after the blast he made earlier. At the first sight, he saw Uraraka's jacket and plummeted it to the ground 

"Don't underesti-", unaware of Uraraka's presence on his back until the last millisecond thanks to his refined reaction time. He then blasted her one more time without letting her have time to dodge and react.

Sero commented, "He reacted after spotting her...!" 

Denki joined in, "Smokescreens won't work against a reaction time like that! Scary."

[y/n], in deep thought, muttered under her breath, "Her quirk does not work if she can't touch him...and he looks like he has the upper hand since Uraraka is slower than him... and she keeps charging and charging at the same stance. Why isn't she running normally without crouching down?"

Izuku shook his head, "I don't know, but I have a feeling it's part of her plan."

The same thing happened to the two for some time now, and it went on for more than 4 minutes with Uraraka using the same running approach with Bakugo just deflecting her course.

The crowd was reacting badly to the point [y/n] does not want to hear any of it anymore, she stood up, "I have to go get some fresh air."

As she was on her way to her prep room, she heard Aizawa's voice through the speakers, "Is the one who said he's toying with her a pro? How many years of active duty? If that's what you're taking away from this, then you can leave. No point in watching. Go home and start looking at job hunting sites. She has come this far, and he knows her strength. His caution shows that he recognizes her as a worthy opponent. It is exactly because he wants to win so badly... that there is no room for carelessness or holding back."
