Balance In All [boku no hero academia]

[CH. 37]: Internships Pt. 3

"It's because he wears his helmet over his head, you idiot!" [y/n] yelled as she lays on the ground paralyzed.

Ignoring what she said, Todoroki sent another enormous batch of ice to Stain's direction, blocking his sight. The hero killer then used his blades to cut them clean as he makes his way to him, "Obscuring your own vision when up against an opponent against yourself... poor strategy indeed."

Todoroki then turns on the fire in his right hand, "If you'd like to think so-!!" 

Before he could finish his sentence, the two daggers that came to his right arm went unnoticed until he felt a sharp pain from it.

Stain makes one giant leap as he took his blade while he plunges down, "You're not bad either..."

But out of nowhere, Izuku leaped between the walls until he reached Stain's height and dragged the hero killer by his scarf. Todoroki shouts as he clutches his right arm, "Izuku!"

The green-haired boy replied as he bounced from one wall to the other, "Somehow I can move just fine!"

[y/n] spoke up as she widened her eyes, "So it has a time limit?" 

The other injured hero spoke up in a weak tone, "No, he was the last of us to get hit, apart from you that is."

Stain whispers to himself, "This kid must be a type O..."

On the course of being dragged around, Stain elbows Izuku's back, sending Izuku forward with a misstep as he accidentally released the hero killer from his grip in the process.

Meanwhile, [y/n], who still feels strained and tired, somehow could still use her quirk, but she felt something wrong within her. She furrowed her eyebrows in frustration as she forced herself to stand up, but to no avail. 

All of a sudden, she felt a sharp pain on her cheek, the very same cheek that was grazed by Stain's blades, and a black liquid oozed out of the wound, freaking her out.

She started to panic as she tries to calm herself down by breathing slowly, only for it to seep out more due to her stress. What the hell is going on... it hurts!

As she observed her brother and the hero killer, she then screamed, "Shoto, help me sit up! I have an idea!"

Todoroki then moves to her side, he raised an eyebrow with a scoff as he helps her get up, "Another experiment of yours, huh?" 

With a cheeky smile and a pint of painful expression, she replied, "You know it."

He noticed the said liquid, "What is that on your cheek?" 

As he tried to wipe it off, "Don't touch it!!" his hand was met by a brute swat from her hand, which shocked the duo.

[y/n], with an obvious shock in her tone, "I can move?!" 

Todoroki hesitantly reaches out for her hands, "Can you stand then?" 

With a nod, she accepted as she wobbled and leaned her posture to the nearest wall, "I guess there's a downside to his quirk after all."

As Izuku maintained his distance from Stain, "So he tasted our blood and paralyzed us, but I was the first to break free somehow."

[y/n] chimed in as she squinted and covered her injured cheek, "There could be several explanations... I'm sure we are thinking of the same things, Deku."

He then nodded as he eyes the hero killer, "It could be that the more people he uses it on, the weaker it gets."

[y/n] added, "True, it could also be the blood type... or the amount of blood he ingests since he only got a lick from mine and a graze from yours."
