[CH. 76]: Provisional Hero Licensing Exam Pt. 1

[A few days later, the day of the Provisional Hero Licensing Exam has arrived]

"Our test site, the National Takoba Arena!" Mina exclaimed as everyone stepped out of the school bus wearing their school uniforms while bringing their school bags and costumes in their numbered briefcases. 

Jiro groaned as she slouched, "I'm getting nervous now." 

Mineta added as he took a step forward ahead of everyone as he grits his teeth while fretting around, "Still no clue what this test is about. Can we really earn our licenses?"

Aizawa heard him as he crouched down and replied while looking at him dead straight in the eyes, "Mineta." 

The young boy almost jumped as his teacher continues, "It's not a matter of 'can'. You 'will'." 

Mineta jolts in response, "R-right, of course!!"

The teacher straightened his posture as he looked at his students from class 1-A, "Earn your provisional licenses by passing this test, and you won't be mere eggs anymore... but full-fledged hatchlings... reborn as semi-pros! Show them your best."

"Are you nervous?" Izuku turned to face [y/n] at his left side with Todoroki on his right, who seemed to be busy playing some game on her phone as she continues to grumble under her breath with her thumbs aggressively pressing the screen, "Ugh... I need to upgrade my characters, and unlock the story of progress... but I'm low on battle points... ugh... screw this other team... why don't they just die after I used that special combo attack...? That was my best move...! Dammit...!"

"[y/n]?" He sighed as he swiftly took her phone away while holding it away from her as his other hand was on her forehead with her hands trying to reach her phone, "[y/n]... you're not listening to me...!"

[y/n] groaned as she reaches out, "H-hey...! I just need to win this match for a bonus rare item!! Izu, give it back...!!" 

She continued to whine as Izu shook his head while holding the phone away from her, "Nope, you gotta focus on the licensing exam right now...!" 

[y/n] wailed as she shook her brother's shoulders with her hands, "But... Izu...! I'll get a deduction to my overall ranking if I don't continue or cancel the match...! Give me ten more minutes!!" 

Izuku exclaimed, "Huh?! How long do the matches even last? That's too long...!"

The green-haired girl groaned as she stopped reaching out for her phone and looked away with a pout, "They last for a minimum of twenty minutes to two hours..." 

Izuku deadpanned, "It's... like a fight in real life...! Is she serious right now?!"

[y/n] sighed as she gave up as her phone rang in a familiar tune, indicating her team was defeated. Izuku then hands her back her phone as she blinked nonchalantly while looking at the screen, "Oh... at least I got the MVP trophy... even if I lost." 

Izuku groaned at her gloomy expression, "You're... not happy about it?" 

She turned to face him as she furrowed her eyebrows with a huff, "Oh, please... that trophy is like... the easiest to get and you can have it in any match...!" She crossed her arms as she continues while looking away from him, "I just wanna de-stress by playing Heroic Legends..."

She continued as she looked at him, "I'm... honestly nervous." 

Izuku sighed, "You could've told me that sooner." He continued as he placed his hand on her nearest shoulder, "Hey, don't worry. I'll stick with you...!" [y/n] nodded, "Thank you, oniichan."

"W-what?!" Izuku jolted as [y/n] panicked while covering her face as she slouched in embarrassment, "I-I'm so sorry! It slipped outta m-me!! I'm sorry!"
