Our episode opens up with the rangers wondering where their origami zords are, walking into the training room where the five origami zords push a scroll through the front door towards sensei Nobu, who opens the scroll and reads it revealing it to be a letter from grandmaster Ushi. the five then ask who the heck he is, and sensei explains that grandmaster Ushi during his youth was one of the elder monks of the Shiba temple alongside grandpa Mako and Daisuke, explaining that he trained under all three of them and learned each of their teachings which sensei eventually passed down to the rangers: he learned swordplay from his big brother Mako, hand-to-hand combat from Daisuke, and symbol magic from grandmaster Ushi. however Ushi slowly drifted apart from the monks of the Shiba temple and moved away from japan to bull mountain here in stone canyon where he's been living as a hermit ever since. after that, we cut to Akuma palace where Serrator brings his apprentice Deker into the training room, explaining that today is when he finally begins his first day of training to become a dark samurai warrior, handing Deker his new sword explaining it will be a temporary replacement while he fixes his old one, followed by Deker having a childhood flashback where his father gives him his first sword as a symbol of honor to the Akuma clan. we then cut to the present where Deker accepts Serrator's offer to train him under one condition: set Nocturna free. Serrator then agrees to his terms and snaps his finger followed by two marauders bringing in Nocturna, who doesn't recognize Deker revealing that he rid her of her human half and turned her into a full Akuma making her completely loyal to her daddy dearest much to Deker's anger followed by Deker begrudgingly agreeing for Serrator to teach him. Serrator then asks Deker to hit him, Deker then unleashes his anger and swings his new sword at Serrator who blocks his blade with his own while taunting him, pissing off Deker even more making him constantly swing his sword while Serrator tells the Akuma prince to give into his anger as his hatred is what fuels his Akuma side and that soon his weak human half will cease to exist, causing Deker to put down his sword and telling him that he doesn't want to live as an accursed Akuma like his father which is why he must kill the red ranger so that he can claim the reward his father promised: humanity. Serrator then mocks Deker for believing such a paper-thin lie and that lord Ashura told him that just so that he can agree to do his dirty work for him, much to Deker's anger. Serrator then summons the monster Barnaclon and tells him that the rangers are after the bullzord and that he needs to find it before they do. we then cut to the dojo where the rangers pack their things only for the gap sensor to go off alerting them to the presence of an Akuma. the six rangers then morph and hop on their samurai cycles to ride onto the scene and blast at the monster who fires back at the rangers knocking them off their samurai cycles forcing them to fight the monster on foot, followed by the monster telling them that he has no time for their fun and games as he's got a zord to unleash before blasting them and leaving. after that, the six return to the dojo to tell sensei that the monster they encountered was after a zord, which worries sensei which is probably the reason why grandmaster Ushi sent them that letter. we then cut to sensei and the six rangers hiking up bull mountain until they come across a small house in the middle of the woods, followed by grandmaster Ushi stepping out to yell at the seven to get off his property only to recognize sensei Nobu whom of which explains to grandmaster Ushi that he got his message followed by introducing him to his six students: Kenji, Nigel, Oscar, Ava, Sadie, and Spike followed by a cow showing up to lick Oscar in the face which turns out to be grandmaster Ushi's pet cow Bessie. Ushi then invites them all in before telling sensei Nobu to keep an eye on those students of his for him, as he can't stand kids. sensei and the rangers take a look around grandmaster Ushi's house and notice a lot of cow paraphernalia lying revealing that grandmaster Ushi kinda has a thing for cows. Sadie then notices a bunch of cow-shaped paper origami lying on the table and is reminded of their origami zords, followed by sensei Nobu telling the six that grandmaster Ushi was the one that taught him how to infuse the elemental power symbols to origami which is how he created the origami zords in the first place. grandmaster Ushi then tells our heroes that he brought them here because during his time meditating he sensed that someone is after the bullzord. sensei Nobu explains to his students that the bullzord was the first origami zord he created back when he was young and spry, followed by grandmaster Ushi reminding Nobu of how he was unable to control the zord causing it to rampage all over the countryside before grandmaster Ushi sealed it away inside bull mountain, Ushi of course being frustrated with having to spend all these years trying to protect his former pupil's mistake, calling sensei Nobu a screw-up. Kenji then objects, telling grandmaster Ushi that his uncle Nobu is a great sensei and has helped him progress in his samurai training immensely. grandmaster Ushi rolls his eyes, telling the six that sensei Nobu's corrupt teachings have poisoned their young and impressionable minds. sensei tells Kenji not to be offended before showing his experimental disc he developed to grandmaster Ushi, explaining that he made it to tame the bullzord, which grandmaster Ushi doubts will ever work causing sensei Nobu to leave while hanging his head in shame. the other rangers follow suit, much to grandmaster Ushi's dismay. our heroes arrive at the entrance of bull mountain (while being spied on by Barnaclon) followed by sensei Nobu telling his students to stay back as this is his chance to prove to grandmaster Ushi that he can make things right before entering bull mountain only to come across a shrine where he places the disc into the shrine which awakens the bullzord which starts rampaging, grandmaster Ushi sensing it and rushing onto the scene telling the six to look at what their so-called great teacher has unleashed. Kenji then tells the others they've got to get sensei Nobu out of there before morphing to hop in the samurai and claw master megazords to stop it (cue Shinkenger episode 32 zord fight), all the while sensei Nobu is struggling to control the bullzord. Barnaclon then summons an army of giant marauders to capture the bullzord wrapping it up in chains, only for it to break free and brutally damage the ranger's megazords while sensei contacts the rangers and informs them that the Bullzord is heading for stone canyon before he loses his signal followed by the Bullzord escaping followed by Kenji feeling guilty for not being able to save his uncle. after that, we cut back to Akuma palace where Serrator rushes into the throne room and begs lord Ashura for help as his son is trying to kill him, followed by Deker rushing into the room and swinging his sword at Serrator. Deker then puts Serrator in a headlock and his blade up to his neck, demanding his father to tell the truth ending our episode on a cliffhanger.
