Guest ranger of this episode: Adam Park (returning from last episode to help Jamie build the legendary cannon)
Our episode opens up with a recap of the episode "Theft of the Zeo crystal" before we begin the story proper with Adam rushing to the aid of the six Legend force rangers after their fight with Vrak, Adam asking the six if they're okay. Jamie and Brenda both help Orion back up on his feet Brenda assuring Adam that they're fine but Orion was badly hurt by Vrak saying that they need to get him back to the Sky ship. Adam offers to come with them, saying that they could use his help since he has experience with these kinds of things. our heroes then teleport to the Sky Ship where they lay the injured Orion over the medical table, Alpha running a scan on the battered and bruised space pirate informing Orion that his arm's been broken, Orion telling Alpha "you can thank Vrak for that" while Alpha 8 puts Orion's arm in a cast. Lance tells Orion "Don't worry Orion, we can carry the fight without you until you recover" Orion smiles, saying "Thanks guys" while Polly lands on the injured Orion's shoulder and says "thanks guys, thanks guys, sqwak!" only for Adam to enter the Sky Ship, Alpha asking "ai-yi-yi, who are you?" Adam then asks "you guys got an Alpha series robot?" Lance then introduces Alpha 8 to Adam Park, saying that Adam helped them retrieve the Zeo crystal from Vrak, Adam handing the Zeo crystal to Alpha 8 who is dazzled by being able to hold the mystical artifact, Alpha saying "the real Zeo crystal! Zador told me all the stories about it, I never thought I'd get to see it in person" before we cut to Austin and Molly sparring on the deck of the sky ship the two locking legendary sabers while exchanging flirtatious banter while Adam spars with Lance and Brenda hand-to-hand, Adam telling the two that if they are to survive their next fight they're gonna need to exploit their enemy's weakness and focus their attacks on that, however their sparring session is interrupted when Brenda asks the others where Jamie is. We then cut to Jamie in his personal quarters inside the sky ship working on a modified legendary blaster. Adam then enters the room to look at Jamie's invention, asking what he's working on. Jamie explains to Adam that after their fight with Vrak he decided that it would be best for the rangers to upgrade their arsenal if they are to even the playing field, saying that what he's holding is an untested prototype for a new weapon he was developing. We then cut to the Armada flagship where Destro informs Vekar that his brother Vrak has acquired the powers of the Zeo crystal, Vekar asking why that should concern him. Destro explains to his prince that with such power at his fingertips, Vrak could easily overthrow Vekar and lay claim to the throne. Vekar then says "great, as if the power rangers reclaiming all our occupied territory on this planet in the name of humanity was bad enough, I got to worry about my brother planning to stab me in the back too" Insidia tells Vekar that she has already sent a monster to Earth to take care of the rangers: Shelldor, who introduces himself to the prince saying that none of the ranger's weapons can pierce his impenetrable armor. Meanwhile Cyberon enters Insidia's lab and comes across the encrypted files on Project: Retrofit, looking at the schematics on Robo Knight jogging some of his past memories. We then cut to Jamie in the quarry testing out his prototype blaster plugging two ranger keys into it: the green Legend Force key and the Green Zeo key. He then fires a blast at a large boulder causing it to explode, Jamie congratulating himself on a successful test. However he is suddenly attacked by Shelldor and a platoon of X-borgs, the footsoldiers easily overpowering Jamie only for the other four rangers to arrive on the scene to help him dispatch the grunts. The five charge their sabers and blasters up for a final strike while Shelldor readies his arm-mounted shields blocking their attacks. Shelldor introduces himself to the rangers and boasts about how none of their attacks can lay a dent in his armor, Lance then says "alright guys, let's remember what Adam taught us and exploit our enemy's weakness. We got to hit his armor hard enough until it breaks!" The five then morph into Operation Overdrive and hit Shelldor with a blast from the Drill blaster, however the drill doesn't even pierce Shelldor's armor. Lance then says "alright guys let's try plan B" the five morphing into Zeo to fire a blast from the Zeo cannon, however Shelldor deflects the blast back at the rangers knocking the five out cold while Alpha and Orion watch from the ship's monitor, Alpha going "ai-yi-yi, the rangers are in trouble!" Orion saying "that guy's armor is crazy strong" meanwhile Jamie gets back up and fires his prototype blaster at Shelldor, however that doesn't work either and it ends up frying the prototype only for Shelldor to rain lightning on the Legend force team. The five then morph into the Alien rangers and retreat. Meanwhile in Jamie's personal lab Alpha takes a look at the fried prototype blaster, Jamie explaining to her that he tried to upgrade their firepower but it backfired hard. Alpha 8 places her hand on Jamie's shoulder encouraging him not to give up, saying she knows he can do it while Adam watches and smiles before walking up to Jamie and offering to help him work on that pet project of his. Meanwhile Orion informs the rangers that Shelldor is still at the nearby quarry, and Jamie tells the others to go while he and Adam work on his project together. Austin tells Jamie "whatever you say nerd, just promise me you won't take too long okay?" While Lance says "Alright team let's go" before the four morph and leap out of the sky ship to confront Shelldor who is accompanied by two bruisers who open fire on the four rangers prompting them to morph into Jungle fury to fight off the bruisers (cue Gokaiger episode 32 fight) Orion and Alpha watch the battle from the ship's computer monitor Orion asking Adam and Jamie how things are coming along with their new weapon. Jamie putting together a new prototype saying that he's trying to pack this thing with enough firepower to penetrate that monster's shell. Adam then asks "you mean something like the Zeo cannon?" Jamie then says "yeah yeah exactly like that!" Adam tells Jamie he has a couple design ideas and offers his input. We then cut back to the four rangers fighting off Shelldor as best they can to buy Jamie and Adam enough time to finish the new weapon, Shelldor deflecting their attacks easily. The four then switch to Lightspeed Rescue with Blue, Yellow, and Pink attacking with their V-lancers to no effect while Red activates his Battle boosters to deliver a supercharged punch to Shelldor's shield causing a massive shockwave, Lance saying "gotta admit, that shield of yours is pretty tough" we then cut back to the Sky ship where we see Jamie and Adam putting the finishing touches on the Legendary cannon, Jamie saying "this is great you're a genius, Adam!" Adam saying "any time, kid" before Alpha informs Jamie that his teammates are in trouble. we cut back to the other four rangers getting knocked back into Legend force mode by Shelldor, however Jamie arrives on the scene with the Legendary cannon in hand opening fire on the monster, Austin commenting how impressive that cannon is with Jamie saying "actually Adam helped me design it, but I did most of the work" Lance then says "not bad Jamie, now let's put your new invention to good use!" Jamie tells everybody to plug their ranger keys into the weapon and they do, charging the cannon up for a rising strike attack that pierces Shelldor's armor for good before we cut to Destro and Insidia catching Cyberon red-handed trying to download the information regarding Project Retrofit, Destro telling Insidia "I thought the prince ordered you to delete those files" before Cyberon teleports away and escapes. Insidia then says "I was going to, but I got preoccupied with the whole love potion fiasco" and fires the sattelasers to make Shelldor grow prompting the rangers to summon the Legendary Megazord and Legendary Minizord forming the Legendary Ninja Storm Megazord (cue Gokaiger episode 32 megazord fight) however Orion unexpectedly arrives on the scene in the Q-Rex Megazord Orion with his arm still in a cast saying "I'm sorry guys I know I'm in no condition to fight but I just couldn't stay behind and watch from the sidelines" as the Q-Rex attacks the monster with one arm before the Legendary Ninja Storm Megazord finishes off the monster once and for all. After that, we cut to our heroes arriving at the Resistance base where Adam reunites with Tanya the two thanking our heroes for all that they've done helping take back the Earth from the Armada while Jamie thanks Adam for helping him make the Legendary cannon the two fist-bumping before our heroes return to the sky ship where they are greeted by none other than Cyberon who says he didn't come here to fight he came here to talk as the six rangers get into a fighting position, however Alpha tells the rangers that they should hear him out. Alpha holds hands with Cyberon and asks him "Robo knight, is it really you?" Cyberon then says "It is me, Alpha. I finally recovered the stolen memories of who I was and what the Armada did to me, and I came here to say goodbye" Cyberon then hands Alpha a thumb drive saying "the Armada's forces are hunting me down and eventually they'll capture me and wipe my memories again, this drive contains all information regarding Project Retrofit, use it to find a way to reverse my reprogramming so that when we meet again you can turn me back into Robo Knight" Cyberon then teleports away to a nearby quarry before he is ganged up on by X-borgs while Insidia orders the soldiers to take him to the lab and wipe his memory, saying that she can't afford to lose the prince's robot bodyguard again before they all teleport away ending our episode on a cliffhanger.
