Episode 34: The revival, part 1

Our episode opens up with sensei Nobu watching the six rangers meditate in the dojo while Kenji has flashbacks to what Serrator told him last episode and begins wondering what it all means, right before having flashbacks to all their past encounters with the guy. Kenji then starts noticing a pattern between all the locations where each of his monsters attacked only to start having another vision: one of a human woman carrying a baby with the Akuma clan mark on its arm while running through a snow-covered forest away from a platoon of marauders which causes Kenji to wake up. Kenji then informs sensei that he had a vision that showed a connection between each of the spots where Serrator's monsters attacked, saying that he saw Arachnotaur, Switcheroo, Skullcloud, Eyescar, Barnaclon, Hun-gore, Gluewarrior, Firearms, and now Salivator. sensei then opens a scroll with a map of stone canyon placing game pieces on each of the monster attack locations revealing that the spots form a line that goes split down the middle of the city which worries sensei and the other rangers as this must mean Serrator is plotting something BIG. we then cut to Akuma palace where we see Deker training with his new sword before Serrator and Nocturna enter the training room with Serrator informing Deker that the time has now come to commence his master plan to exact revenge on lord Ashura for imprisoning him in stone all those centuries ago, all the while Octomancer eavesdrops on their conversation. Serrator then summons his final monster: Plagueitox, whom of which Serrator hands the final wedge to. Deker then asks Serrator why he should bother helping him, followed by Serrator telling his apprentice that helping him in his master plan is the final test he must pass in order to graduate to the level of full-on dark samurai warrior. Deker then tells Serrator that he asks for something else: restore Nocturna's humanity. after that, we cut to Deker watching Nocturna sitting in the middle of the park playing her shamisen only for Deker to show up and ask her if she knows where exactly that instrument she's playing came from. Nocturna doesn't know, followed by Deker telling her that her shamisen was forged from the dead soul of the mother of her human half. Nocturna is shocked to hear this, asking Deker if he's telling the truth or not. Deker assures her he's telling the truth, as her father Serrator told him the whole story and that he's the one that killed her. Nocturna is shocked to hear this, followed by Deker assuring her that once he finds a way to restore her human half the two of them can be together forever, all the while Plagueitox searches for the perfect spot to place the final wedge. we then cut to Spike paying a visit to Bulk's sushi spot where he has a happy reunion with his uncle Bulk telling him he's been missing working at this old place since he became a samurai ranger followed by Plagueitox summoning a plague of insects to infect people to give them stomach pains including Bulk who comically swallows one by accident. Spike then sees the monster attacking outside the restaurant window and promises him that he'll pay for hurting his uncle Bulk before running outside to morph and fight the monster, followed by the other rangers coming to Spike's aid to fight the monster and the marauders. Kenji then tries to destroy the monster with the fire smasher cannon mode only for Serrator to show up and block the attack, followed by Kenji activating super samurai mode and demanding to know what Serrator's "MASTER PLAN" is. Serrator then tells the rangers that once the final wedge is in place, the castle will rise. the other rangers demand to know what he's talking about, however Serrator tells them that they'll know soon enough. Spike then tells Kenji that he and the others will keep Serrator busy while he goes after the monster, followed by Kenji cornering the monster before pulling out the bullzooka. we then cut back to the rangers fighting Serrator only for Deker to show up and point his sword to Serrator's back and demands him to give Nocturna back her human half, followed by Serrator pulling out a glowing black orb which he explains is Nocturna's soul explaining that unlike humans Akuma have no souls which is why they are unable to feel human emotions such as love, compassion, empathy, etc. and that since Deker and Nocturna were both born to human mothers they possess souls however unlike human souls which are radiant and pure theirs are black and tainted due to their Akuma heritage, explaining that the whole reason why Nocturna was born into this world was because he needed access to a tainted soul in order to exact his master plan. Sadie then calls him a monster for using his own daughter like that and that he's a terrible father, followed by Serrator chuckling and explaining to the rangers that once all the wedges are activated, they'll draw power from Nocturna's soul to open a massive portal that'll bring Akuma palace to the human world and cause enough chaos and destruction to make the humans suffer enough to make him so powerful it'll make lord Ashura bow to his knees, followed by Serrator cackling like a lunatic revealing his true colors: a psychopath who wants nothing more than to watch the world burn. we then cut to Kenji finishing off the monster with a bull blast attack, followed by Serrator summoning Nocturna and ordering her to make his monster grow followed by the rangers summoning the samurai megazord (cue shinkenger episode 42 megazord fight) all the while the other rangers try to evacuate the rest of stone canyon (including Spike carrying his unconscious uncle Bulk over his shoulder) while the final wedge has been put in place while Serrator cackles in excitement. Deker then demands Serrator to return Nocturna's human soul to her body, however Serrator tells him no can do before slinking back to Akuma palace and placing Nocturna's soul in a shrine where he recites an incantation that activates all of the wedges which causes a surge of evil energy to burst out of the ground followed by Akuma palace slowly rising out of the ground while Deker and the rangers are knocked out cold.
