Chapter 57

Drew destroyed the room, so they went back to his office, each one carrying a bottle. "There has to be a way for us to get her to come back on her own."

Eric took another swallow from his bottle. "We got a secret weapon."

"What secret weapon?"

"Bonnie. Her and Mmm." Eric stopped before he said her name seeing Drew's glare. "The bitch were close, she might be the ticket to talking her to come back."

"Do you think she would do it for us?"

"I know she misses her, if she says no, you alpha order her. Bonnie is a pack member, so there isn't any way she can refuse you."

"Mind link her now. If she says no, I will order her to do it." They were both tipsy and slightly slurring their words.

"It is late we should wait until tomorrow."

"It is late, and I am feeling the whisky. First thing in the morning we will talk to her." The two of them drank themselves to sleep.

Eric mind linked Bonnie around twelve in the afternoon. They woke up late and hung over. "Bonnie, the Alpha wants to see you."

"Beta, I am at the hospital doing my shift. I get done at three. If you want me, I can come after that."

"That should be fine. I will tell him to expect you at 3:30."

Bonnie hung up, she still couldn't stand the Alpha and the Beta. They drove her friend away and hurt her. Right on time Bonnie was knocking on the Alpha's door. "Alpha, what can I do for you?" She was short talking to them like usual.

"Eric, reminded me how close you and that Bi..." Drew stopped himself. "Melody were. We need your help talking her into coming back."

"Come back?" Bonnie was not sure what Drew was talking about.

"We found her. The problem is our past misunderstanding has her refusing to come home. That is where you come in. I want you to talk to her and bring her back with you."

"What if she doesn't want to come back?"

"You have to figure that out. Make her want to come home. Give her a few reasons, like the orphanage needs her or the hospital is shorthanded. Melody is soft hearted any sob story will work."

"I can do that. I know Melody better than anyone. If you want her home, I would most likely be the only one that could talk her into it. When do I leave?"

"Mel is on the other side of the country, if you fly, leave in about a week or two. We have to wait for a call from Beta Michael. If you want to drive 'cross country it would be best to leave as soon as possible."

"I want to drive there, I hate flying. If that is all you have to tell me, I should go home to pack so I can leave tomorrow."

Drew became cold talking to her. "You going there is something I expect good news from. Don't fail me, Bonnie. You will not like the consequences." He reached into his desk drawer then threw a card and a folded paper to her. "You will need money for gas, food, and hotels. This should cover the trip, if you need more call me. That is where you will find her."

"Thank you, Alpha. I will talk to her and get her to listen to me." Bonnie picked up the card and left the office to head home to pack. 'I hope this is the last time I will ever have to see both of their faces. If Melody takes me in, I am out of this pack forever. The idiot even gave me the money for the trip.'

Bonnie turned the music up and danced around singing as she packed. Her mind has her remembering times the two of them spent together. 'If I hurry, I might get out of here in a couple of hours, that would even be better.' That thought makes her move faster.
