The doctor comes out to the waiting room. Cameron nudges Anthony. "The doctor is here." With Cameron's help Anthony walks over to him. The doctor sees what shape Anthony is in then looks to Cameron. "How is Melody?"

The doctor shakes his head then begins to talk. "By all rights she should never have been able to have the pups. I actually don't know how she is alive. We went in and repaired the spleen and stopped the bleeding. We're giving her blood now; it's a matter of time to see if she responds. At this time, she is in a coma, I can't tell you when she will come out of it, if she will come out of it. She has gone through a severe trauma."

Cameron shook the doctor's hand. "Thank you, doctor. When can we go in to see her and the pups."

"The pups will have to stay in the nursery."

Hailey and Wyatt were getting checked out in the examining room walked out with Laurie and saw Anthony, they ran over yelling, "Daddy! Daddy!"

Anthony hears them, looks down, and picks them up. He gives them each a kiss then looks at the doctor, "When can we move Melody?"

"Not for at least three or four days. It counts on how she responds to the blood transfusion we are giving her right now."

"I want her home, at our pack as soon as possible." He then looks at his father, "Where are the rest of the pups?"

"The triplets are with Christine at the pack house. The doctor said they are fine."

"Laurie, take the twins." Anthony hugs Laurie. "Take them over with Christine. I have to take care of Melody."

"Where's Mommy? I want to stay with Daddy."

"Go with Grandmom. Daddy has to go get Mommy, I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Anthony, please let me know the minute you know anything."

The moment Laurie and the twins are out of sight, Anthony turns to Branden and his father, "I want them off this fucking land NOW! I don't want them anywhere near here!" Anthony is shouting in anger. "I mean now! You two are taking them home. I am staying here with Melody, leave ten guards. As a matter of fact there better be my guards outside her door immediately. Branden, TODAY! DO YOU HEAR ME!"

"As you wish, Alpha. Bonnie is staying with the newborns. You don't have to worry about them for now."

Charley comes out of nowhere, "How's my Little one?"

Cameron steps up to him, "Come with me I'll explain everything."

Anthony goes to her room and sits at her bedside. "Melody, I'm so sorry. It was my job to keep you safe and I didn't. Everyone is going home; the pups are going to be safe at the house." Charley walks in quietly behind Anthony. He doesn't see him. "I'm going to stay here with you, until you are ready to go home. Your mom will take care of the pups."

Anthony jumps when Charley puts his hand on his shoulder. "We'll stay with her. Why don't you go get something to eat? I'll stay with Little one until you get back."

"I-I-I can't." Tears are running down his face. "I can't leave her."

"At least go see your new pups. They don't know what is going on and they are in a room with a bunch of strangers. Bonnie had to go get ready to leave. You should of heard her yelling at them, she was staying. Melody wouldn't want you to leave them alone. If they can't be in here with her then she would want you to be there."

Anthony holds her hand tighter, "I let her down and I can't do that again."

"When Melody wakes up don't you want her to know that you took care of them? Be strong for her and for the pups. She has been strong for you; it's your turn to be strong for her."
