Chapter 68
Michael called Drew as soon as he left the pack. "Michael, how did things go, are they going to help?"
"They are so stupid. I have so much information on how their pack runs. They talked about their borders and back gate entry. They were so busy with their friends they forgot I was even there. I have some ideas on how to get in and get our females."
"Do you think it's possible to steal her from them?"
"It will be hard, but there is a good chance. We have a more important subject to talk about, your dad. They said they will take care of your father, but you have to call Anthony to set up times and dates. When I get back we can talk more, I am heading to the airport to come home."
"I will see you in a few hours." Drew hangs up then yells to Eric. "Your father is on his way home, we have to pick him up late tonight."
"What did he find out about helping your dad?"
"They are going to help him. He even said that he has a way to get into their pack. Maybe we can get them."
"That is great," Eric flops in the chair. "Dad has always been good at planning strategy."
"When he was on the phone, he said he has a lot to tell us. We have to be at the airport late tonight his plane is due in at midnight."
While on the plane all Michael could think of was how his wife had done this. "Isn't it her fault? She is the one that left. She was the one that took another man, kicked me to the curb like I wasn't worth keeping. After twelve years, just up and leaves. Yeah, we both agreed it was until she found her mate, but twelve years we were together. The fucken screwed up thing is she still gets under my skin."
He fell asleep on the plane. His dreams take him back to the time he first met Laurie. 'She smiled at me as I drank, feeling like shit. My mate died in an accident; one I caused. Her voice was sweet and tells me I should stop drinking, that all this alcohol isn't going to help. I pass out later that night, not even knowing where I am when I get up. Her voice tells me she took me home with her. Those eyes, those beautiful eyes. Michael wakes up with those eyes still on his mind. "Laurie, you will come back to me one way or another."
Eric and Drew are at the airport picking up Michael. "Do you see him?"
"Eric, stop yelling, you are so embarrassing."
"Dad, we are over here." Michael sees them and strides over. "How was your trip?"
"It was good." Michael was tired and they both could see it. "We have a lot to talk about. She has a lot of people on her side, even her mother is there. We are not going to get to them too easily. You need to call them to set things up for your dad tomorrow."
"I called him right after you told me what they said. I didn't want them to change their mind."
"Let's go home, it is going to take too long to fill you in and I need a drink."
The ride home is quiet, Michael is still not ready to talk. When they get to the house the first place they head is the pack bar. Drew can't wait any longer he had to ask, "Did you see my pups?"
"I saw them, they are cute. I have beautiful grandpups. She named the boy Wyatt, he looks like his mother in a masculine way, your color hair, his grandmom's eyes."
"You said the boy. So, one of them is a girl?"
"Hailey, she is the exact replica of her mother, from the top of her head to the tip of her toes. The only thing that is yours on her is her eyes, she also has your color hair."
