Chapter 64
Drew was sitting in the hospital with his father, his cancer has gotten to the point he can no longer get out of bed. "How are you feeling today?"
"I came to the realization that it is my time. The only worry I have left is that my handsome son needs a Luna. I was hoping to see grandpups before I left this earth, I am not going to be that blessed."
"You have to stop talking like that, I am going to find you a doctor that can help you, you just have to hold on a little longer. Listen, I found a she-wolf I like, I will bring her by soon. You could tell me if you approve."
Alpha Kevin's face brightens. "I knew you wouldn't let me down."
Drew knowing he is lying to his father is stressed. "I love you, old man, don't worry about me and concentrate on getting better. As for me I have to get to the office and be the Alpha you taught me to be."
"Bring your lady friend by tonight." Drew gives his father a quick wave as he heads to the office.
Eric enters the office to see Drew staring at some papers on his desk. "Hey Alpha, the new guards are doing great. You need to come try some of them out."
"Whatever, I will get to them when I finish these contracts."
"Alright, tell me what has you acting like this?"
"Dad wants me to get a Luna. He doesn't have long left; the doctor gave him until February at most. I am going to bring Sasha there tonight and let him think she is my future Luna."
"Do you really want to do that? I mean she will start telling the pack about it and then what if we get the bitch back."
Drew puts his elbows on the desk and holds his head in his hands. "What else can I do?" His phone rings, he answers it without looking to see who called. "Hello Ski Line Pack."
Michael can hear something is off. "Alpha, are you doing alright?"
"Dad's dying. They can't do anything else for him. He is laying there waiting for the end."
"You might not want to hear this, but Melody works at a hospital that has an outstanding cure rate for cancer. She might be able to cure him."
"She will never help us. It would be a waste of time talking to them."
"While I'm here I can give her a sob story, with the way she is I might be able to get her to help. It won't hurt to try."
Eric, who has been listening says. "It can't hurt, Alpha. I mean it would be better than taking Sasha to see your dad."
"We are taking her there today in case they don't see him. Michael, go for it. You're right about her being soft-hearted. Try it."
"I will go see them tomorrow." Michael hangs up having a good feeling about getting her to help.
Drew picked up Sasha. "My dad wants me to have a Luna. I told him that you are the one I wanted."
"Alpha, you want me to be your Luna?"
"I am not ready for one quite yet, but I have decided by the end of this year I will pick one. So far you are my top choice. That is if you are interested in being my Luna?"
"I wouldn't mind at all. I have been trying to work with the pack like Melody had, when you gave me the job it was hard. She was so organized and handled things so well. I have been following her old schedules, and they are still working."
"That good. Then it is time for my dad to meet you, convince him you are in want to be my Luna."
"Whatever I can do to help you with your dad I will do. If you need me to change or something to become your Luna, tell me I will do it."
