Chapter 84
Papa Charley heard them talking while he waited in the hall. "So, he is doing well enough he can come to dinner and go to stay in the pack house."
"He is going to heal faster than any of the rest. He has been here almost three weeks, and it will take only a few days to get the results and if he needs one more treatment. At most six days at least four days. He can finish the physical therapy at his pack."
"He is getting out of here in tops three and a half weeks. Is that safe for you?"
"I am hoping to do it in three weeks and a day. Drew and the others need to go back home. Anthony is a nervous wreck and to be honest so am I. We have to get a dinner together for our special guest."
"Little one, stop rushing. You need to slow down. It is not only you that you are taking care of. Those two grandsons of mine need a healthy and strong mom to bring them in this world."
"I know, Papa. I will be very careful." Melody gives him a hug. Then her worse nightmare comes through the door, Drew.
"Luna, nice to see you. It has been a few days sense we have seen each other. I came to see my father, he is looking so much better."
"He is responding so much better than any of my other patients have. He is doing so well he is joining us for dinner tonight. He will also be moving into the pack house to be with you and your associates."
"That is wonderful. Thank you from the Skyline Pack and myself for all that you are doing for him."
"We have to go." Charley, who was standing there next to Melody, gently pulled her away from Drew. "I don't trust him. He is nothing like his father."
Drew walked in his father's room to see him standing, packing his things. "Dad, look at you standing there and walking."
"I am feeling a lot better, Son. Better than I have felt in a very long time. Luna Melody has invited me to have dinner with them tonight. Could you bring me some nice clothes to wear? I want to look my best for tonight."
"I will go get them for you right now. Is there anything else you want or need?"
"I want to bring a gift with me tonight. Something to show my gratitude."
"I never know what to buy. What do you want to get her?"
"Women always like flowers, a large bouquet of lilies would be nice."
"Why lilies?"
"When we planted the flower beds by the yard outback at the pack house Melody was in charge of it. She planted beds of lilies. We need something else to go with the flowers."
After a thought Drew snapped his fingers. "I got it. When they had a gender reveal thing for the new pups we gave them two musical wolves as a gift. She loved them, I saw her playing them and laying them on her stomach so the pups could hear the music. We should get something else for the two boys she is having."
"That is a wonderful idea. It is a thoughtful gift and useful also. Can you get this all done before dinner?"
"If we leave right now, we should be able to take care of it."
"I am moving into a room next to you; when you get back I should be there. If you have the time, we could take small walks as long as I use my cane and have company I am allowed."
Charley and Melody stop by the office to see Anthony, "Yo, baby, what a nice surprise."
"I wanted to tell you that I invited Alpha Kevin to dinner. He is doing so much better, I have him moving into the pack house. Four to six days he can go home."
