Chapter 97

"Good evening, ladies. Thank you for joining us." Michael was all smiles greeting the three of them. The ladies didn't respond with words they just nodded.

Drew and Eric were waiting at the table for them. "Melody, you sit next to me."

Eric walked over to Bonnie, "You will sit next to me." Michael took Laurie to sit by him. The ladies sat there not talking.

"How was your day? There was a lot of stuff you had to put away." None of them answered Eric.

Drew punched the table. "Why is it when we visited that other pack you could laugh and sing, seem happy? That is what you are expected to do here, that is an order."

Melody straightens her shoulders getting ready to say something. When Laurie decided to talk instead. "You need to realize we are used to having all our family around us, this is a much more formal setting. Maybe if we could all be together then it would be easier for us, we have left our two friends and the pups behind."

Melody liked the way her mother was handling the situation and followed along. "Mothers don't like leaving their pups behind. Also, we are worried. I told you, there are a lot of pups for them to take care of alone."

"We are very close to each other, that is why when Melody goes to her concerts, we all go with her. I don't even play an instrument."

"I tried to teach you, Bonnie, but you are tone deaf."

"Hey that is not nice."

Drew began to tap the table. "We will have dinner together at your home from now on, and that way all of us will be spending the night together. This will also allow me to see my son and daughter."

Michael gave Laurie a smile, "That will also let me see my grandpups, I can't wait to play with them."

"We do not expect any of you to be overjoyed about being here at this moment, but we do expect you to get use to the better environment we have provided for all of you. It is better than the ones you had with those bastards you were with."

"This environment has no yard and no windows, what makes it so much better, Drew?"

"Isn't it obvious, we come with it." That statement has the three of them trying not to gag on their food and looking at him like he has lost his mind. He then continues, "I would like to have you play for me tomorrow evening with that Amanda person."

"I only have my violin and the flute with me. You would have to get me a piano, if you want me to play like I do at the concerts for you."

"I still have your house for you, and it has a piano in it. When things get better you will stay there with your friends and come home to me at night. Per our conversation from the other evening."

"While we are talking about spending nights. Laurie you are going to start staying with me at our room every night starting this evening."

"I can't leave my daughter and Amanda at this time. They may need me, and I will be too far away from them. I would like to wait to do this until my grandpups are born and I have some time to adjust along with Carley."

"Carley will stay with the other children. She is not mine, I will not accept her in our lives. You will do as my daughter is doing, come willingly to my room and to my bed?"

Making fists under the table Laurie held her temper not wanting to let them see how much she hated him. "Yes."

Eric took Bonnie's hand to his lips. "You will join me in my home. I had it built for the two of us. You have no reason to not come to me now."

"I am carrying my mate's pup, I cannot stay with you right now. You and I have never even dated, I would like to take the time and get to know you and also get use to the idea that you will be my mate from now on."

"You have known me for your entire life. How can you not know me?"

"With the way you treated Melody, I didn't like you at the time. It will take time to get used to this side of you."

"All because of that damn mate. You had to get pregnant. Fine, I will give you the time, once that thing is out of you, you will come to me."

Melody turns to Drew, "I would like to set up a time we could take the pups outside. They need to run and play. We also need to get out of the dark night that is our home right now."

"When I can trust you and your friends, I will move you to a house. Until then, I want you to stay where you are at."

"I know we have to prove ourselves, just give us an hour a day or every other day so the pups and us have a reason to smile and be happy."

"We will see how things go with dinners and the time we spend together. And if we don't have any more hitting or fighting issues it may happen."

When the evening was over the three men walked the ladies back to the bunker and proceeded to kiss them goodnight.

The next two weeks have gone by slowly, Melody and Amanda have both gotten to the point that they can't walk. The pups and the women have gotten depressed. 'Melody, you have to lift your spirits the rest are counting on you.'

'I can't lift my spirits, I miss Anthony. He hasn't found us.'

'He is looking for us it is hard to find us in the ground.'

'We are in a grave. The ground has swallowed us up.' By now Harmony was just as depressed and didn't give Melody much inspiration.

"You look so sad sitting there."

"How do you expect me to be? I have to smile when the pain in the ass comes to visit so he is happy. The pups are due soon. I have given up hope. Do you think Anthony is ever going to find us?"

"I don't know baby, for right now just concentrate on you and the pups. Look, they are all running around the living room. They need you."

"Do you think they gave up trying to find us? No, I know they didn't, I don't know why I said that. This has been so much harder than I thought. All I do is dream he comes and saves us, then the dream turns into a nightmare. Drew kills Anthony when he comes for us."

"You know that is silly. Anthony is so much stronger than Drew and he loves you like no one else could love you. Now stop all this worrying and play with the pups while I get you something to eat."

"Don't bother mom, I couldn't eat right now. I feel bad, let me get some sleep maybe I will feel better when I get up."

"You have not eaten much today. When you get up you are going to eat."

"Yes, Mother I will eat." Melody lays her head on the arm of the couch and goes to sleep.
